Now that we got Milan, I am curious where the pulse is on this board.

This vote is just for Regular Season Wins. NOT including SECT or NCAA.

I believe there is 14 Non Conference Games and 18 SEC Conference games = 32 games

I think this team looks comparable to Pope's first UK team. I like it, but don't love it. I see positive aspects, but also flaws. Hopefully this one won't get derailed by injuries!
My concern is if Moreno:
a) doesn't improve as expected or even worse;
b) goes down with injury.

I don't know what our contingency plan is in that scenario, other than just hope and pray

I picked 20 to 23. If there are 32 games ill say 23-9 or 22-10. Then 11 or 12 total losses overall after losses n sec and ncaa. Sweet 16.

Then we all debate if that merits a season 4 of this experiment.

I think Big Frank and a side of Potter or playing three forwards is as much contingency as we can manage.

You aren't going to have a reasonable or close to like replacement.

In 2012 if Davis hadn't produced or went down Orton would be it. Nice back up piece but not really replacing Davis.

We saw what happened without Noel. Nobody was going to keep a beat laid down by KAT and that is almost as deep a team as can be imagined.

Come forward to today's big man market and it is even tougher to have one at all.

Oats jumping right on BG and UofL actually privatizing Dynes kind of illustrate the market.
Moreno would have been no worse than center 2 in the portal if he had put in for it.

There just aren't the guys this cycle, we have one of the best big man rotation there is.

22-10 most likely.
If he goes 23-9 many of our battered fans will want to build a statue.
Pope needs to make a statement next season removing any doubt he’s the guy to lead Kentucky. I personally doubt that happens.

It’s much more likely that Pope does just enough to create a raging debate on whether or not to keep him, and this further divides the fan base.

At any rate, 30-35 losses over three seasons is unacceptable here and we are looking right down that barrel.

I hope to be proven wrong, but it may well be that the better defensive and rebounding players are not the best on offense, which can create a playing mix conundrum, if not an actual problem. I'm not sure of the team's overall physicality, but I think it may well be improved over last year ... which would certainly be a huge plus.

I agree the development of Moreno will be our X factor. I do not think he will regress, but hopefully he takes the next step. I read where he has been practicing 3-pointers all offseason. That is all fine and dandy, as that is what the NBA wants to see. However, we need him to be more physical and work on grabbing rebounds strong with 2 hands. I wish Oscar would come in and help him hone his rebounding skills. Maybe battling the man that is Frank will help him toughen up. We did upgrade our #2 C though, so I like the front court better going into next season more than what we had last season.

6 wins and I'm good
7-5 but I’ll be happy with 5-7.
Clearly this poll is about basketball

I agree that Moreno's development will be a HUGE PART of and KEY to our overall success as a team. Hopefully, he will not have many (if any) games like he did in March. His play regressed at the end of the year, which was a surprise to see, I thought. I also agree, practicing against Franck the Tanck can only help to toughen Moreno up and get him battle-ready for the more physical teams. Having Kepnang is a real good thing ... great pick-up from the portal !!

I think we go 20-23 wins as of now. If they lock in I could say 25. But because of how Pope coached 1st and 2nd year, I don't see us going passed 20.

You could say that about anyone (not improve or get worse or is injured).
I think Moreno will be 2nd-3rd team all SEC this coming year. I've been saying that for 6 months.

But the 36yr old backup C could fill in if he got hurt. And who knows, maybe Potter is serviceable (like Handlogten for UF). Plus could go small with N'Diaye-Momcilovic-Kam

My moderate concerns are rebounding (after Moreno & the guards), defense from Momcilovic & the guards, 3pt shooting from the guards.
