If they are not going to punish a school for things that are essentially criminal in nature (which is reasonable; there is law enforcement for that) and not going to get into Title IX violations (which is also reasonable enough, as there are other entities to pursue those claims), why spend 6 years investigating, just to bring it back up in the news cycle again. Just state that you deal with amateurism issues and athletics rules and don't want to interfere with policing matters outside of that.

Will Wade's 'strong *** offer' needs to go down in infamy. Oh 17 everything is he is on 17ing government recordings saying they are actively paying recruits and nothing happens.



Kelvin Sampson was hit with a show cause for doing something that ended up being totally legal a handful of years later. Even if in the coming year or two it becomes OK to just money gun cash at recruits, Will Wade still needs to be 17ing show cause'd out the door.

The SEC's Power 5 (4?) OOC requirement is going to make that prospect unappealing. Baylor didn't play a BCS AQ/Power 5 regular season OOC opponent after his 2nd or 3rd season there.

To paraphrase, we fully recognize that these awful events did occur AND that Baylor faculty and staff actively covered up the incidents. However, because Baylor failed to report numerous other heinous and possibly illegal acts, we cannot prove that football was the sole benefactor of this gross incompetence.

That’s not cheating any longer. It’s all legal if a booster wants to pay a big time recruit 500k to sell cars or whatever.

I’m blown away that people continue to support the NCAA. It’s an absolutely pathetic organization who selectively passes out punishment like a terrible dictator and who’s only real purpose is to sell a basketball tournament.
