With the way Baylor is taking care of business it’s time to say their separating themselves a little.

Yes I agree. I’m just saying looking at the season as a whole up to this point Baylor is definitely the best team. But as we know first hand the best team don’t always win the tournament.
I agree, they’re an all around really good team.

They're an interesting team. At the start of the season I didn't know a damn thing about them (and still don't know their names). Yet they clearly have been the best team in the country so far this year ...and against a helluva schedule.

I don't know if they can keep it up all the way through March, but I sure as hell am impressed at what they've done through February.

Think their defense is crazy good.

That's what I noticed most when I watched them.

They start a small four guard lineup, and all four guards appear to be defensive demons that just smother the perimeter. Nobody gets easy open outside looks against Baylor.

I think everybody nationally is waiting to coronate them because they are coached by Scott Drew....they are very impressive and if you substituted their jersey for a blue blood they would be "THE" story of college basketball this year.

One thing Drew has done this year was abandon that lousy zone and switch to man to man defense.

And then they'll get beat by Kansas and people will post how Kansas has "separated" themselves.. Michigan, OSU. etc.
We’re two weeks from March. Baylor isn’t an aberration like those teams.
They just keep winning against a fairly tough schedule.

They are the best team in the land but I really don't think the difference between them and KU , UK , Duke , Maryland and the few other best teams is much at all . Also Baylor has a coach who does his worst when it matters most . But yes they clearly deserve to be ranked #1

Prior to the season I had a co-worker tell me that Baylor was going to be really good. Never gave it much thought but it looks as if he's right.

We catch a few Baylor games. This season's team is solid.

4 of the 5 starters are transfers, while Butler (4 star) transferred from 'Bama on a waiver before starting class and thus retained immediate eligibility. Mitchell transferred from Auburn 2 years ago and sat out last season. Gillespie fills the middle very well. Guard play is excellent on D. Mayer and Bandoo both hit over 40% on treys. Scott Drew knows matchups.

Scott Drew is a pretty good coach. He's had some good teams while at Baylor. The win over KU put them on the national scene.

Dayton outplayed KU. They kind of choked up 8 with under 4 to go but the refs raped & pillaged the Flyers.
