they need to send the brain of these rape victims to science, to understand why they are within ten miles of a bunch of thugs and alcohol. it's like a person sueing the zoo cause they were able to jump into the gorilla cage.o_O

Before or after, everclear or another substance has been poured in their drink? Want your underage son to go on a recruiting trip and be given illegal substances and/or hookers? Any laws against this ? I was hearing this on the radio, but they were reportedly reading things verbatim.... Should institutions be the ones negotiating and providing settlements to hide alleged; but reportedly admitted, crimes? Should all coeds assume all football players are potential rapists ? At least someone has stepped up and found the courage to realize it has to be stopped. Do you know anyone who has been overpowered by a male, who has become someone, who isn't who he normally is, by the effects of substances ( now he said- she said ). It is not uncommon. Read the reports, and then read deeper : frightening.

I would also be more careful about making a comparison between college football players and gorillas. I am not saying you intended anything racist, but given the possibility that some of these players might be African American, the gorilla comparison can be viewed as racist.

This. Well said. This whole thing at Baylor just gets more and more sickening.

Yes, coeds should assume that ANY male is a potential rapist football player or not. I've told my daughter to NEVER accept any kind of drink from anybody she doesn't know and trust extremely well. One thing to keep in mind though is that testimony in a civil suit is not necessarily proof of an event. Attorneys filing a civil suit are going to paint things in the ugliest way they can.

Me too, and I am aware of situations where that person who was
" babysitting " the drinker, left or was distracted and assaults ensued. We are talking this situation and what appear to be cover ups, even with admissions... There are laws against providing things to minors. The point is these things should be in court. I love your football posts. The personalities on the radio didn't just fall off the turnip truck. How many of you have ever talked to any of these victims ( non - prostitute ) ? Google this area, or visit a crisis center, it will amaze you. ..There are predators out there and they are experienced. If you were drugged and raped, would you want the public exposure of all knowing it happened: while the accused " circle the wagons" and claim it was your idea - the police will ask if you are ready for the cameras. And it appears that institutions do cover ups to protect themselves.

I don't even know where to start with this. I can appreciate that it seems like "if Baylor's culture was so bad, why did the women hang out there? Listen now. Women who are raped are victims, period. They do not assume or have assigned any culpability for the crime because they dressed a certain way, drank too much, flirted, looked at someone a certain way, or any other supposed "come on" you can think of. Shaming the victim has been and continues to be a major reason why women don't report rape. Most of us likely have a woman in our lives who has been sexually assaulted, and never reported it. I suggest that anyone that thinks that these women's brains should be studied, because they are in any way culpable, get educated. Start by picking up a book less than 2,000 years old. Unbelievable.

Im well aware of the total depravity of the degenerate, thus I suggest the regenerate stear clear of them. and of course the law is established. sometimes a ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

only a person consumed with the flesh would draw that conclusion. christian peter was being as carnally minded as anyone of a different race. but, I understand your point.

that was long ago on a much smaller scale.
Sandusky is the only person I know of who is associated with PSU football who was a paedophile. So by your criterion that was on a "small scale" too. Why should it matter? If a University covers up even one sexual assault it is awful and should be severely punished.

Great thread. Baylor rapists. Rape victims need to have their brains examined. Gorilla reference is racist.

Is it fall yet?

I don't recall any coverups by NU

I doubt the NCAA does much, too many television sets watching Baylor play Texas, TT, OU, etc. Same with Penn St, no NCAA official is going to kill the goose that lays all the Philly and Pittsburgh advertising dollar eggs, not to mention the vast army of PSU alum that infests the nation from sea to shining sea. They will wait to come down hard on a school like Wyoming or BYU that don't have a lot of TV sets. BYU has a lot of fans around the country, but they don't normally buy beer or caffeinated soda, so the ad revenue hit wouldn't be as bad.
