He cant beat any of those guys
Is say he could beat any of them, like basically any of them can beat one another. I like to bag on his age but his talent is immense, as is his work ethic
I feel like you're drastically underselling his talent. But, opinions are unique to the individual. Mine is that he's incredibly good and can be as good as anyone.
Bassett has historically been really good against Vega (Bassett's pace and tenacity when he gets a leg has historically worked on him), but Vega obviously jumped multiple levels this year and the match goes much differently now. Vega is quite a puzzle to solve.
It's amazing how people want to discredit who he is and what he's done... I'm not a fan of all the hype but he has answered the calls. He never runs from a challenge, if he gets beaten he's always come back better.. This kid will have a great career but I think he will take some losses along the way.
With Vega you have to finish quick and not hang around on his leg (obviously same with Jax)
Was it last year that Bassett beat Vega in freestyle, on criteria or by a point . Really good match
Vega won't see 141 again. Bo walks around at 150 hes a college 141 currently
I can't hate on the young man, or his brothers, or Jax. You may not like the social media or that their parents high school redshirted them or the Bishop McCort shenanigans etc., but they back down from nobody and their work ethic is second-to-none.

Bishop McCort was punished and missed the postseason for something that every private school in PA does. The issue was that Luke Sipes was going to go to McCort and Altoona threw a fit. If McCort wasn't punished to keep Sipes home, Altoona was going to withhold all of their sites from D6 and PIAA so they hit McCort. Faith, NDGP, Beth Catholic..no one gives a crap.

The issue was the other coaches in D6 play by the rules and nearly all of them are small schools who don't recruit. The coaches voted against McCruit and this board came down hard in SOME posters who were actually vocal in favor of McCort. The opinions seemed to have changed years later, as they should have. Recruiting is absolutely just fine and dandy as long as you are competing in a level mat with others who recruit. And it's BS saying other D6 school is recruit, because they absolutely do not. Not anyone without "Bishop" or "St." in their name anyways.
With that said, I don't care for McCort, and nobody else does either here in district 6...BUT Bo by every account is a great kid who has unfairly bore the brunt of everything that should be directed at McCort itself. I wish him the best and will root for him against anyone not in a blue and white singlet and that includes Jax...who I don't think wants any part of him at 141 but we will see

Right now, i would say Jax and Vega move up. A lot depends on what Jax wants to do for FS season. They will give you the answer pretty much. He said the cut wasn't as bad as he initially thought.
One of the Raney's will not make the lineup. They are 133 and 149 and Robideau isn't moving up.
Didn't Bo beat the hell out of Jaxon Joy this season?
Personally, I would kind of like to see a Bassett vs Ono match ... particularly in free.
I want to see Bassett vs Jax and I think we're going to see it next year. I'm taking Bo.
They'll rub little Raney out there at 33 if Jax moves up, and if he doesn't they'll have big Raney cut to 41. DT showed his cards now and he will go to all lengths to go all in.

I appreciate it and the Stones rock. Jax has said cutting to 61kg isn't easy so I expect him at 141.
Raney bros will be 133 and 149 Ronnie /Raney 133 other Raney 149 RS . Vega cut his b*lls off to make 141 they fought that narrative all year but admitted once the tournament was over. My opinion is Bassett wins 141 next year
Beat him worse that anyone else Joy wrestled this year.
If he were coming to PSU we would have him penciled in as a 4x’er.

That's gonna be Bassett next year at 141. I think DT is going to avoid throwing Jax up a weight until 28, when Bassett goes up to 149. Bassett will handle big Rainey without much difficulty, might be held to a regular dec. but no problem. And if Jax gets brave he's going to pay that Cael tax before he wants.
Correct me if I’m wrong but the “brunt of everything that should be directed at McCort itself” means old man Bassett, no? My issue with McCort is not just the recruiting outside its geographical area, but recruiting outside of the state. I have the same feeling about St. Joe’s Prep football. If you have kids on the team from out is state, you are ineligible for PIAA postseason competition, period. End of story.
It means the A.D. and superintendent who signed off on it and sold their soul. If you don't think they were watching over in Altoona to what Guilfoyle did in football you are crazy. They made their decision five years ago, and don't look now but McCort is now doing at "class AA" in football is exactly the same prototype that Guilfoyle used in football. The PIAA is toothless and for sale, so hey why not? BEA had a damn good 3A football team last year and McCort beat them like a junior high squad.
Stanich multiple times. Blaze big brothered Bassett last time they wrestled. Hardy put it on him pretty good. Hosokawa tech him. Bassett's a great wrestler but "He beats the hell out of everyone" isn't accurate.

The kid I watched at the PIAA final? He's beating the hell out of everyone other than Stanich or Jax, but he's beating them also. I'm not going to disrespect the kid because I despise the school.
