Hopefully this thread can be somewhat of a jinx and we perform better (I doubt that, though),

Who can Moos lure in here next season to coach this team? Miles on his way out. Same shtick, different year.

Joe Dooley, Florida Gulf Coast. Thought he was going to get the New Mexico job last year, but he didn't bite on it.

Tyronn Lue after LeBron leaves Cleveland.

In all seriousness - Dooley and King Rice would be at the top of my list, but I don't think either would take the job. We'll probably need to take a chance on a top assistant at a major program. Going the mid-major route hasn't worked well for us.

The line is "we don't want no retread pro coaches" at least in Football, maybe it is OK in BB

We're a stupid team. Palmer with the T and then Glynn with that one when he already has 3. St John's quickness and agressive D is frustrating NU. Playground ball now. Gimminy they don't miss. They're throwing up crap from all angles and it all goes in.

Between Riley and Miles, does any other Power-5 conference school have a worse combination of football and basketball coaches? I honestly don't think so.

Their style of play has been poor since Nee. Part of the reason I like Creighton other than cheering for the hometown team is that they are fun to watch. Win or lose there are going to be some points scored. Watching Husker games is chore and the result is rarely satisfying.

No, no, no - Creighton just gets amazingly lucky on an alarmingly regular basis. They're going to be terrible just as soon as [insert good player's name here] graduates.

Forget his brother. Have Scott Frost coach both the football and basketball teams. Hell, make him chancellor too.
You're being sarcastic but I guarantee you that Frost would be good at whatever he tried to do. His problem coaching basketball wouldn't be x's and o's because he would work his *** off to know more than his opposing coach. He wouldn't have any problem motivating people either. His problem would be a lack of cred in recruiting.

Once the recruit found out it was Frost knocking on his door, he'd be all N!

its going to take time for them to jell. They will get better. Wouldn't you want to play your best ball February and March?

Yea, that night in Omaha could be ugly....again.
I don't think Creighton can D up like St John's did tonight but they can shoot it and we don't seem to be able to again this year. Gill was terrible tonight and Allen could hardly walk. Glynn had an off night and didn't respond well to their physical style of play. They just mauled us defensively.

Tom Crean is looking for work. The guy can coach offense, though his teams didn't play any defense.

Meh. Get a fresh face if we have to fire Miles at the end of the year. I'm a Miles booster but if he doesn't get things going by 2/3 way through the B1G, can him and let Hunter take over for the end of the season. We've got enough talent to be competitive.

I think we may have to go outside the box for our next bball coach. After Miles, Sadler, and Collier, we have a reputation as a graveyard for up-and-coming coaches. I'm not against a former major coach like Crean or Mark Gottfried or Travis Ford (remember that Greg McDermott sucked badly at ISU, but he's doing pretty good now). Or maybe a former NBA guy - Alabama got Avery Johnson, Utah got Krystkowiak, Tulane got Mike Dunleavy, Nevada got Eric Musselman.

Or else do like Northwestern and Washington and hire a top assistant from a major program. The last 3 guys we hired had no experience coaching or playing at the highest level, and it showed. It's frustrating to see a guy like Chris Mullin, who had zero coaching experience before he was hired, coach circles around a guy with 23 years of head-coaching experience.

MOOS will have earned his paycheck after this gig, Miles in my opinion is a great guy, but watching them play like they are all on a playground is horrid, they have no chemistry act like they have no clue what is going on, can't shoot a lick from the outside, throw the ball to the other team and have shown no upside, time to move on Timmy and let the AD bring in a new coach, we are 3 games into the season and it's going to be a rather long season at that.

It's a long season and I'm not writing them off just yet. Let's see how we play when we get in to the conference play.
