Because SC is not a destination school. There’s no tradition…no pedigree; so you’re constantly experimenting with youngish mid-major coaches, or worn out pre-retirees, who MAY pan out. The talented movers and shakers are looking at the major top 15 schools; not us.

It seems that our head MBB coach is good for 1 NCAA tourny per tenure so we should just change coaches right after that occurs

Just hard to fathom a school with our facilities, resources, and fan support has made only 6 tournaments in the last 50 years. As long as I can remember I’ve always heard issues are with our BOT’s priorities, which seems to be generational.
