6’5 PG?! No clue if he stays as a PG, if so maybe a A Hardaway (Penny was it?) type PG.

This is why I’m happy to have Gates. If he rubbed someone the wrong way at Florida, they’ll get over it. Or not. Don’t care.

I’m behind on this one. Was he recruiting him before coming to Nebraska? His rivals profile says Miles was the recruiter.

I don't know, to be honest. But I have to believe that if Hunter was gone and NU is sitting there with a vacancy, this would have been a much tougher get.

He has a good looking shot, but I did read that his shot was what kept people from offering him. I think he's a good prospect, glad to have him, but he's a year away from contributing.

He committed before we hired Gates. Maybe Miles told him that Gates was a possibility but all of his interviews credited Miles as his recruiter. Pure point guard who might be able to improve his shooting to the point of being a threat. Hopefully he can improve his shooting as much as Evan Taylor did at NU with our coaching.

I’m not crediting Gates with this particular recruit. I’m saying that his hiring plugged what looked like a giant hole in the NU program’s boat and was really the first positive news for the program since they won their game on Senior Night. That matters.

I realize that you weren't. I was merely answering the question posed. Gates was about as nice of a pick up as we could have hoped for this time of year.

Which is not a terrible thing since we still have Glynn
