Anybody got a link? I'm especially curious as to what our team ERA is right now.

On the official website. Era is 2.43. But more important is. .182 BAA and striking out about 1.5 batters per inning. Whip is a little huger than I thought it would be but still strong

Good lord, Missouri. One of these team ERAs is not like the others. They may not win 5 conference games this year.

A couple of defensive stats stick out to me:

The Good: Logan Tanner has been excellent behind the plate. Among the leaders in caught stealing percentage. Tied for the lead with fewest passed balls.

The Bad: our fielding percentage is awful. Clearly our recipe this year should be pitching and defense. I’m worried we won’t hold up our end of the deal on the latter. I am hopeful the switch to Forsythe at short makes a big difference here.

Team has made one error since the switch at SS. Fielding % should be going up from here on out. One thing that has made it look so bad is because of our pitching striking out so many, it has kept our fielding chances down some. Of course it is all relevant, but we had a rash of errors from one position that has skewed the numbers.

Pretty obvious that Kam James isn't a SS but is a quality 3B. He made up the majority of errors this year when he was playing SS. I think our fielding percentage will be ok going forward.

Hard to improve on Fielding % when you are only getting 12 chances per game over the last 4 (pitching has 61K and 6BB in last 4)

Sheesh, half the league has a team ERA under 3.00.

I think we are really good and it still wouldn't shock me if we finished anywhere between first and seventh in the league. We live in our own bubble sometimes and focus on our team without realizing how good other teams around us are, and this is a freaking loaded year for the SEC. We could finish right around .500 in SEC play and still end up hosting a Regional this year just because the league is so dang good.

Vandy has two starters that could go top 2 in the MLB draft. Ridiculous.

If you ask any Vandy fans, their scholarship rules are fine

in fact, they're still probably at a disadvantage. Everyone knows you can't pass up the opportunity to play for coach Corbin, draft be damned.
