Didn't notice that. Pretty sure that will be at Smith Wills though. I think JSU plays at least some of their home games there anyway. Also didn't notice the Alabama St. game is at Alabama St. That's got to be a first.

Pretty sure all these mid-week road games are to allow construction to continue throughout the season.

Likely so but I like that the Alabama State game is followed up by the series at Auburn.

Then it's likely at Braddy Field.

Seats 800, per Google.

That'll probably be plenty for a mid-week game in February. I went to one of the last MSU-JSU games played at Smith Wills years ago. It was mid-season and decent weather and there weren't 1,000 people there.

16 games against defending regional hosts.

Defending #1, 2, 3, and 4 SECe draw.

Defending national champs and national runner ups.

~ 35 vs tournament teams.

33 road/non-home games.

Will be a top 5 SOS, probably a top 2 or 3, simply by virtue of the amount of time spent on the road

I think Trustmark Park would be a possibility as well. Also, the Nicholls State game was supposed to be in NOLA at the Shrine on Airline. Not sure what happened with that.

Playing a SWAC game on the road is going to hurt our SOS, but at least it counts at 1.4 wins in the RPI rather than 0.6.

RPI is going to be zero issue whatsoever. The league schedule is especially brutal, and we play well over half of our non-conference games away from home. Most of those non-conference games will be again good teams too.

If we win 16 SEC games with that schedule and perform well in non-conference, we are a host IMO. 17-18 puts us in the top 8 discussion and 19+ would be a lock for a top 8 seed.

We used to play a "road" game against JSU at Smith Wills almost every year. Lot of mid-week road games this year so construction on the stadium won't grind to a complete halt come March.

The SEC schedule was my biggest worry plus having so many road games. I have to give the schedule a pass obviously because of the construction situation. It will be another weird year but at least this time it won't be because of a Tommy John epidemic hopefully.
