They switched it because of OU fans coming during the CWS and trolling. It was working the mods overtime to clean it up. It doesn’t seem right that other fan bases can come post there when they don’t allow it on their own boards

when i read the premium “reference “ in a thread, my first thought was that it might be in response to the OU trolls during the CWS … i knew the Modds were working overtime … glad to see the change … since football and basketball boards are designated “premium”, i wasn’t sure

I understand that decision, but it's a bummer for those of us who don't have premium. I've become disillusioned with our football and basketball programs to the point that I didn't care to pay for premium access any longer. I enjoyed still being able to read and participate on the baseball board though.

I have way more of a positive outlook for basketball than football at the moment. Just not a fan of Belichick or his style. Especially when we keep getting our brains kicked in game after game. Winning would help bring me back though.

it was the way we lost all last season...fundamentals were trash and it looked like to me nobody gave a **** so why should we? beginning to believe it's a cash grab for his girlfriend and his kids and nothing more. 2025 season did not resemble competence at all

There has been an uptick in traffic on that board, but they did it primarily because opposing fan bases, mainly OU fans, decided since it was a free board that they would come and troll. Easier just to make it premium than to constantly fight against that I guess.
