I like the rearranging of the rotation. Let Tito get you off to a 1-0 start to set the tone. Sunday though. Who knows. UT isnt very good

We win two, could sweep.

I think worst case scenario is we lose two. I don’t see them sweeping us like Georgia did, they don’t have the same bats or bullpen depth.

The scary situation they've created by shatting the bed vs UGA is there's no margin for error anymore. Lose 2 of 3 here and you're 8-7 in the SEC and just hoping you can do enough to host rather than contending for a Top 8.

Hope they're locked in.

Diamond Dawgs take 2, but the weekend’s so beautiful, why not make it three, redeem ourselves a bit from last weekend, “DAWGS WIN AGAIN!”

2/3 State - I'm not confident in that prediction though. Hopefully my bad feeling about the series is just the gas station chicken I ate for lunch.

The bats will disappear in one game. Hope it’s not tonight, and we waste a strong outing. We win 2.

I dunno, even at 8-7, you’re probably only a 10-5 finish away from a Top 8 seed. Or 17-13 with some damage done in Hoover.

I don’t think I’d agree that we have NO margin for error. I think it’s certainly less. But the Vandy and OM sweeps gave us wiggle room and I don’t feel that one bad weekend undid all of it. Maybe cancelled out one of those sweeps but not both of them.

Losing 2 of 3 to UT after getting swept by UGA would erase the wiggle room from the two sweeps. That is the scenario I was talking about.

And trying to go 10-5 after starting 8-7 with the teams we have left on our schedule is what I would call very little margin for error. I shouldn't have said NO margin for error, but it's gonna feel that way if we have a bad weekend.

I follow you, and I would agree. 1-5 against UT and UGA would pretty much negate the Vandy and OM sweeps.

Regarding the back half of our schedule, I don’t think it’s just ridiculous or anything. I think it’s one really tough series in Austin and then four series against teams we have appeared to be better than. Maybe you put Auburn and A&M in the toss up category. Maybe there’s concern about LSU getting hot. But honestly it could be a lot worse. It certainly has potential to go south but there’s also a realistic path to us closing really strong in that stretch.

I'd really like to see them go 7-2 over these next three series where we're clearly favored. That would get things on track for that final tough stretch. Be nice to get McPherson back somewhere in there.
