why all the hate, who do want to coach this team.
Nobody here "hates" Erstad. They just see a program that chronically underachieves under his watch and doubt that this will change anytime soon. As for me I'm not really disappointed, because it's exactly what I expected when he was hired.

At that time, I was hoping NU might make a run at Coastal Carolina's Gary Gilmore. But that ship has sailed, since he won a national championship three years ago. Sure glad we didn't go down that road, since Gilmore's not a Husker thru-and-thru.

Same thing was said about basketball. Pretty lame thought-terminating cliche. Sure, this is a different sport in a conference with some unfair, self-imposed scholarship challenges that ADs, coaches and even fans, if possible, need to pressure Delaney to get rid of, but there's no reason Nebraska should have so many games in this league where they struggle to score more than one or two runs. And I'm not talking about just this season, it's an historical issue for Erstad.

I don’t hate DE, he was another one of TOs cheap hire, again failing to to a coach search. He be under achieving with supposedly good talent, of coarse the media wouldn’t miss lead us in that area.

Osborne apparently interviewed 6 people at the time? He also stated he was surprised how much interest he got from current head and assistant coaches (his words, not mine). Still dying to know who the others were. These were all coaches well aware of what conference we were joining. Probably any one of them could have won at least 2 Big 10 titles by now (2016 was right there for the taking, losses to bad PSU and Rutgers teams, plus getting manhandled by Michigan, was costly.)

I will acknowledge that Nebraska baseball took the biggest hit on the move to the B1G of any of the major sports. But given the financial investment and fan support there's no reason we shouldn't be dominating the conference 75% of the time and regularly winning postseason games. The late-season swoons have become ridiculously predictable. I've resigned myself that we'll either have coaches like Erstad or up-and-comers that ultimately leave for better conferences.

He has underperformed since he arrived here. If he wasn't a former Husker, he probably would have been relieved of his duties a year or two ago. It is time for a change that has been long overdue. He wasn't ready to be a head couch at a major program at the time. He tried, it didn't work out, move on.

At this point I’m resigned to the idea of Erstad being at NU at least a few more years. And frankly that would be easier to endure if his fan club didn’t insist on telling us that he’s a really good coach and we’re just HATERZZZ for not recognizing this indisputable truth.

Erstad couldn’t get a job anywhere else. He’s lost. His teams are mentally weak.

Huskers down 2-0 early. NU got hosed on an out call on a DP that cost them a run.

It is nearly mathematically impossible to have this much traffic on the bases through 2 innings and still be trailing 2-1, but these are our Huskers.

Tied 3-3 in the 8th now. Husker pitchers settled in nicely after a rough start, allowing the offense to crawl back to even.
