It is always great to see a young kid get a chance to attend school to play football but also take school seriously.
Nothing wrong with excelling in the classroom and on the field.
He may be the best LBer ever or he may be a washout on the field or something in between. I just find it so refreshing that a guy says, 'I picked this school because I researched the academics of my major and felt so impressed by what they have to offer.' This guy is smart. He gets Football is the gravy on the biscuit.
I'm not an Aerospace (needed 4 or 5 more classes to be 4xWVUenginEER), did work in that field for a good 5 years, but I am familiar with the WVU Aerospace Dept which was a part of the Mechanical Dept which is very good. The whole WVU COE, now known as CEMR, is a great education. I'm biased in saying that though.
