They should auction off the part with the Tiger Hawk on it. I wonder how big that piece is? Or it would look great somewhere between Carver-Hawkeye and Kinnick. Or maybe Hy-Vee could put it up somewhere. Oh, the possibilities . . .
Ehhhh, on a game day, you only see about 50,000 tiger hawk logos. One fewer, albeit huge, doesn't really make or break fan enthusiasm or reinforce the brand better.
It was an uproar that thing didn’t have the Tiger Hawk on it. Talk about getting riled up about nothing. Probably was an offseason thing.

They shoulda installed like a water tower top bar up there for gamedays. Just need some safety railing and a pisser
Yep. Could have auctioned it off for charity or NIL money. Guarantee someone out there would buy it and stick it on the side of a barn or something.
Maybe they can do a water tower hologram?
Before they painted it, some U of I engineering students used lasers to project a Tiger Hawk onto the tower. It was a modest success.

I think the fans played a big part. Every year the voices got louder. Barta would never have initiated it on his own.
