Maybe that will work. And if it does, one down and two to go.

They will be exposed when they play uk.
All that iso ********, one on one stuff won’t work against us and they will actually have to make plays for each other.
They aren’t about each other. Brotherhood doesn’t really mean anything to them. It is a sham.
Ain’t worried one bit.
Can’t wait for them to slap the floor together when they drop back in a zone.
Puke and splinter are phony. This year will show that more and more as that rat has gone all in on one and done.
Cheers to another court nap by that cheese eating rat.

Who has he beaten or gone up against of note? I don't count allstar games. They show and prove nothing. He's played high school level competition, with a few guys who played a year of college I'm the U19. I think he's good, but I want to see him play on a consistent basis against legit teams, with better players, defenses and experience than what he has seen so far. I don't think thats being unrealistic.

Who said that meant more? I was just referencing they have played against better talent than strictly joh school level.

I don’t think those teams in the bahamas could beat Oak Hill.

This is what I’m talking about. Barrett has probably played better and more varied competition than any freshman in the country over the last two years but three games against some random teams with “nba prospects” apparently means more than that lol.

Like you can make that argument against Zion all day and I’d believe it. But not Barrett.

I can’t wait until we shut you all up. Good grief.

Barrett’s game was created for space. Good athlete but is a high volume shooter. Good shot, not elite by any means. Will struggle against well coached zones. Transition player with a good first step to get by most defenders. I’ve not seen him play against elite rim protectors.

Dude I don’t care about the scouting report of Duke vs UK lol. I’m just pointing out you were wrong about what Barrett has faced. I think Kentucky will be very good and could give him some problems but I think you’re greatly over estimating the rest of college basketball. Who are these amazing grown men he’ll be facing night in and night out?

I think that’s fair. But he’s not putting up 30 a night on 15/25 shooting once the season starts. Toronto U is the equivalent of a D3 program.

I think he’s capable of having games like that from time to time but it’s not going to be a nightly thing.

I think Barrett will average 20+ a game. Maybe him and Zion both. Because theyre both very good and duke doesn’t have many other options.

I do think zion in particular is going to struggle on defense however. But most college freshman do. That might be the most difficult thing about building your team with freshman. Getting them to play defense well enough to win when it matters. K switched to zone last year and it almost worked. In 2015 they had a guy like Winslow that was just a flat out stud on that end and again, K changed some stuff up in March and it worked.

Kentucky in 2012 has two guys in Davis and MKG that contributed just as much on d as offense and it’s no coincidence they won it.

That’s another reason I like Kentucky better this year. Keldon, Hagans and Quickley come in ready to play defense at this level.

4. RJ and Zion are just really good and people should just learn to give credit where it’s due.

There are good players not playing for uk. There are good players playing for uk. That’s what makes this fun.

No one said...or at least I didnt...that Zion & RJ & Reddish for that matter are not good. They are really talented. Point was saying it about YOURSELF in an interview.

Not only that. I think those 3 are very good but I like UK's overall roster much better. The two deepest & most talented rosters are UK & Kansas.

Can a 6'6" wing that can't shoot possibly average 20ppg? I can't recall ever seeing that.
I guess he can shoot, but at what percentage? I just think there is too much talent on duke's roster for one guy to average that much.
But the thing I keep coming back to is his outside shooting. If he can't hit somewhere in the high 30's/low 40's percentage wise, I don't see how he averages that much.
Defenses aren't just going to allow him to drive and dunk like he did in hs and aau.

These quotes are from the same post:

“Keldon, Hagans and Quickley come in ready to play defense at this level.”

I know what you’re going to say but the bias present in these two comments is amazing.

All freshmen struggle with defense....except ours!
