He’s dropped Miami since that article but this quote about Oregon is telling.
“It has always been my dream school since I was a kid,” he said. “Once you get older though, you just have to stop that dream school stuff and face reality, because you have to know what best fits you and gets you in the best situation and helps you develop as a player.”

Let's hope dream school works for OU like it has for us.

That has Kentucky written all over it IMHO. It's really unbelievable what Cal is doing in recruiting. He's basically hand picking who he wants at this point. This next class could potentially be his best ever. Depending on who comes back, it could potentially be as talented a roster as 2010, 2012 and 2015.

Cal is like a man possessed on the recruiting trail right now. He's gonna get several more chances to win titles here. Hopefully we can get a fair shot and capitalize on them. What a great time to be a Kentucky fan!

Florida St and Oregon are the favorites according to basically everyone. Maybe that will change if/when Barnes visits UK. Cal is the best recruiting HC in college basketball but he’s not hand picking.

So bizarre. What kid grows up in Florida and dreams of going to Oregon? [laughing]

That's what I was wondering. Some Nike influence would be the only thing I could see as a reason to maybe leave the Southeast to go to the Northwest.

Nike money can make kids say a lot of crazy things. No kid from Florida grows up dreaming of playing at Oregon. Oregon was crap when he was growing up and still isn’t anything special. Whenever an elite recruit is seriously considering Oregon you can basically chalk it up to Nike money.
