Good grief, I don’t have a narrative. I don’t have any skin in the game. The stuff she felt comfortable enough to yell in a public venue tells me what I need to know about this woman’s character. Do I want her life ruined? No way. Do I want her to go to jail? Of course not. Free speech and all. I’m comfortable enough to call her a POS though.

What she did was wrong, but this is an over reaction. NCAA rules state if a player uses a racial slur against another player they are ejected from that game. But you are going to ban a fan for life or an indefinite amount of time for the same thing?

In my decade plus on catspause, I don't know if I've ever come across such an obtuse mischaracterization of a recent conversation as what you have posted here.
I don't like what the woman said, but you can find someone else to debate how evil she is (or is not). How racist is she? I dunno. Probably at least somewhat, but that's subjective, and the subjective is boring to me. Your guess is as good as mine.
I'm not like most "people people" in the sense that I am much more interested in what is possible: what is likely to occur, what is unlikely to occur, and the relative probabilities of all of those outcomes. The legal precedent thus far established is just one important component in determining those probabilities.
UK did what most institutions would do from a PR standpoint, and their decision will almost certainly go unchallenged for the reasons I laid out previously. This is exactly what I predicted would happen.
100% of my points centered around legal nuances that will likely never play out (as I discussed in excrutiating depth) and an array of physiological possibilities that still don't necessarily satisfy Ockham's razor (as I discussed in even greater depth).

It does shoot down the freedom of speech in our country and it is a public university but In today’s climate banning and firing are common for things like this. Hope they don’t start banning me for calling people a d$;@ while driving or I’m gonna lose my license. :joy:

Pirates had some dudes for sure. If not for the Big Red Machine, they likely win a couple more WS titles. That was a really good rivalry in the 70's.

Exactly. It shows UK will not tolerate this and she's no longer welcome at UK sporting events. That's the perfect message and Mitch did real well.
Not much else she can say. Although, if those words come out, the feeling is in there. That is the unacceptable part. Maybe this incident will let her realize she has a problem. Unfortunate all the way around. UK had to do this.
I've been on both sides of the fence on this, sort of anyway, I assumed, you didn't like my statements on her either.
I went to Bradenton, Florida and watched the Pirates play a spring training game against the Detroit Tigers in 1980 right after the had won the World Series. They had a great team back then.
I'd really like to hear a black poster's perspective of what he/she would want to see done to this woman if he/she was the one whom this insult was directed toward.
