Just re-watched a very underrated recent Kentucky tournament game: 2017 rematch against Wichita State. Not quite as good as the 2014 Wichita State game, but a thriller nevertheless.

Bam had 12 second half points including several monster dunks, Monk hit a big 3 late, and Fox made an electric drive and dunk inside a minute...But the Cats were still only up three with a few seconds to go when Wichita's clutch shooter faked Dom Hawkins off the ground, to give himself an open look...But then Bam came out of nowhere for a clean block that ended it...

Fun to recall some favorite moments of the Cats who are getting ready for the NBA Finals.

Correct - on the possession before Bam's. In a one-possession game, Kentucky's defense came up big twice in a row.

Irony-flavored icing on the cake: This was the same day JAYSON TATUM'S Duke team bowed out to 7-seed South Carolina in the second round.
That was such a great day. I loved see how mad K was on the sideline silently screaming on the inside. USC outplayed them in every way. K tried to say it was a road game for them, but we all knew Duke was overrated that year.

Bam got his nickname when he was young after doing a flip over his moms coffee table and destroying it. You heard it here first. :)

That was a fun day in Indy. Louisville lost to Michigan in the same building the game before.

Dominique Hawkins’ smothering defense on that play led Shamet into Bam,
