Would've been great to have him, but I'm 33; can't get upset anymore about where an 18 year old kid decides he wants to go to college. I'm happy with the guys we've got and next year looks like it'll be another fun ride with a lot of ups and downs. Cal will have the boys ready for a run in March like always.

I think it's odd that UNC can get guys like Jackson to return but we lose everyone no matter how little they average.
Our primary sales pitch to these kids is...play at UK= NBA player. So when they leave at the first chance for the NBA we can't be surprised because that's what we sold them to sign up to play here. I wish the NBA angle was a little deemphasized in our approach personally. Take Bamba for instance other then the Kansas and maybe Oklahoma game his games will be sparsely attended and on UT's campus the football players are who will get all the adulation and hype. At UK you play in front of 23K every single game and you are a rock star on the campus and in all of Lexington. There are plenty of other positives to pitch the elite recruits other then NBA....NBA.....NBA

Laughing at your record-breaking thin skin.
When you die they'll make you into super expensive condoms. Ironic because you're likely the ultimate birth control while alive also.

Laughing at your need to post a cheesy picture of yourself and videos of you in the desert because you need attention so badly. I heard morgousky is looking for some action. You should private message him. [roll]

I have. We're tight.
You're always on the outside trying to get in.
Is it in yet?

Its his loss, best facility's to train in, better players to go up against in practice everyday, better coaching , on tv more, better exposure and the BBN. His choice really didn't make any sense when we would be competing for the National Championship .

So when Richards gets 2 quick fouls then it's SKJ time. Remember when he got 3 fouls in like 2 minutes?

Hump made a huge mistake imo. Probably was told Bamba was coming to UK.

Oh well, it's just a game after all.

When you want the press to say your the top coach (but you act like you don't care) and wonder why they love on Roy and K, you have to get two top 5 ranked in a class. You lose EVERYBODY most years. Cal hasn't had a top 5 player ranked now in back to back years. Top coach will always get a key guy back and once they do it feels like college basketball matters.

We once again won't win the title, but I bet we can make it to the FF.

If Cal stays here another 5 to 10 years and for some reason we don't win any more championships, people will look at this as some failed experiment or a disappointment. That's a shame. We are in the midst of one of the best runs a college basketball team can have.

If Calipari stays at UK for another 5-10 years and only has 1 title, while flooding the NBA with upwards of 50-60 players, that will be a massive, massive underachievement. There's no way around that. Hopefully he wins a few more titles and makes all of this talk moot.

Sometimes I feel like this site is what substitutes for the old loser-leave-town, steel cage, coal miner's glove wrestling matches I cherished in my early childhood.

As a basketball fan this will be very interesting. Now we get to see how tough and good this dude is, he will have the ball in his hands alot. He wants to jack up shots from the perimter, go right ahead brah. Still say he is closer to nerlens more than anything on the offensive end which is fine, if he is that good

3 piece suit?
Surprised a card fan even knows what that is.
And admit it.. you're infatuated with my videos.
A bargain at only $2.95/month. Too bad your card declined. Now go fap to Katina.

Just remember folks, it could be worse:

Duke is clearly the biggest loser here with the consolation prize of Bolden. [laughing] I bet K slapped the pen out of an intern's hand today....twice.

I really wish I could go back and pull up the bam or bamba thread in which everyone stated their case in who they wanted and why. In sure the responses are epic, after reading the hatred towards bamba right now. Unfortunately, since bamba is posted everyday on this thread, the responses only go back a month

Having had his teeth kicked down his throat, he desperately resorts to slander (card fan). [laughing] Go funnel some Dos Equis and pass out on your bean bag. [roll]

Really hate to miss on this one. He wasn't really needed as in terms that we have a full front court, it would of been aluxury to have Bamba. That said, glad for him to go to tx, don't think he will be a top 5 pick anymore though. I only want players who want to play for Kentucky not for themselves. Can't wait for the season to start and hopefully we get Texas in tourny, assuming they can even make it...
Hell he'll avg 9, 10, 2blk, hopefully he will just fits, good luck Bamba

really wanted him, but he was a want not a need
we are fine at the 4/5 spots
if our big's get into foul trouble we have enough highly talented forwards to have a very good team that can play small ball
we are going to be a top 5 team in the country, maybe even push for the #1 overall seed

No vets returning to contribute. We have absolutely nothing but freshmen. That's going to produce some absolute growing pains and it's hard to put a lot of stock into expecting basically, an all freshmen team to win you the title. In 2012, we needed Lamb, Jones and Miller to combine with Davis, MKG and Teague.

Are Gabriel and SKJ not coming back or do you not count them?

Richards is no slouch, but aside from him we will have to go small ball up front at times. We invariably get an awful whistle in SEC road contests.

Bamba would have made a huge difference in depth.

Ok, say that does happen. Who should we have got? The best coaches currently active are K, Williams, Pitino, Self and Izzo. Izzo is the only one who we might have got. There is a chance he would have got 2 or more titles, but it's unlikely. So, you can choose to look at it as we had all this talent and only got 1 title if you want (and many people here do). Or you can look at it as we got to watch a ton of great athletes entertain us and give us a chance every year. I'd certainly rather have that, than have a bunch of mediocre players that stick around and give us a chance maybe once every 3 or 4 years, and still wouldn't get more than 1 title, if that.

Hopefully SKJ can give us something.I still think there is more to the story of him not playing last season. He sounds like he is wanting to prove something this season so we shall see.

It actually made plenty of sense when one realizes that winning isn’t important to certain types of players. Bamba will be a perfect lottery pick because he’ll be playing for an NBA team that sucks, and he won’t mind one bit.
