Well what a surprise since he cancelled that trip before last weekend. He said his mind is made up so when he announces it will be UK.
Knox on the other hand is down to four and will wait until who leaves from each school . His father is very high on UK.
The other 3 Florida St ( parents graduated there)

I must not have a modicum of intelligence because I don't understand the difference either. You say its not your fault Giles was over hyped, well maybe Knox, Carter and Trent are over hyped as well. Maybe that class ends up being over hyped as well. Duke had plenty of experience coming back this year with Luke, Amile, Allen, etc. There is NO difference in the thought process there.

You are absolutely correct with this, but you'll never convince those who've already revised history. Ulis wasn't quite as bad, but Booker got destroyed in that game -- and I love Booker; that's not meant to be a knock at all.

I'm not saying Andrew and Aaron were great that game, but they were better than Ulis and Booker. Couple that with the fact that the Harrisons had come up so clutch so many times, no reasonable person could argue with Cal betting on them again. It didn't happen. It was painful as hell. But to suggest that playing Ulis and Booker would have led to a different result in the end, you have to ignore the fact that both were a liability in that game every time they were on the floor.

Let me clarify my statements. First of all, if I think WG will be wrong to go pro has nothing to do with me not buying into Calipari's system. Calipari has had one of the most successful runs as a head coach during any period of time and his players NBA success is unprecedented.

Could maybe just one or two of his highly touted recruits not pan out in the FIRST year??? Yes, and that is alright.

Goodwin left because he knew he was never going to be a good shooter but the kid s
till had a good freshmen year. WG has not showed us a thing besides in two games. WG was supposed to be raw with a high ceiling, but it has not clicked at all, at least with a player like Skal, he was seven feet tall with a silky smooth jump shoot. being 6'9" and occasionally being able to hit a three is nothing special....

If money is an issue for WG, it maybe a bigger disaster to go pro and not get drafted. He is not going to be able to support anyone on a D League pay check....

Euro leagues like the high profile US players that have experience, you are not coached over there and given little time to "grow up". You can earn some serious coin over there but you have to be able to handle it. Think of a player like Darius Miller, Wayne Turner, etc., they have and will continue to cash good paychecks overseas

I doubt there's a bigger Ulis fan than me, and who DIDN'T love Booker? Both were and are phenomenal players, but Wisconsin had Decker and a couple other guys that Booker and Ulis couldn't guard.

Their coach might have looked like a weasel, but his game plan was brilliant.

Cal HAD to put the twins in and it was working. But Andrew made some decisions that ultimately cost UK the game. Cal will take the blame, but we all know better.

But the crowd of people that continues this "well, if Cal would have done the smart thing and pulled he twins and put Booker and Ulis in we'd have won the dang game" narrative, are about as bad as the ones clamoring for Marcus Lee and Friggin' Charles Mathews, like they were going to come in here on a magic sleigh and save the season. Ugh.

Despite what the "experts" have been saying Knox has never been a Duke lean. It's UNC, UK, Duke/FSU in that order.

This year's Duke team is not freshman dependent either. Gracie Kennard Jones Jefferson are there best players. So your biggest difference is not reality.

Yet no one seems to have any info backing this. I posted the Crystal Ball predictions, and while those are never perfect, something back in May made everyone think Knox was going to Duke..

I'd love to hear reasons why he won't.. but no one presents them..

Knox starts at the 3 for us next season if he is here, no matter who else is here.

Vanderbilt and Washington aren't going to start over him.

Gabriel comes back, he starts at the 4 beside Knox.

Knox will be our leading scorer next season if he comes here, IMHO.

F Gabriel (or Washington or Vanderbilt- if no Gabriel)

I personally am enjoying pikespeak and going for 9 go back and forth. I miss the days when a Louisville fan posted his phone number and apparently fans started blowing his phone up lol. The address is close but a phone number would cement greatness in message board history.

K will keep all but 1 or 2 from this yr's roster. Not to mention adding a solid recruiting class. Hopefully, they experience a logjam and players become discontent with minutes.

We need Knox because we need offense, particularly shooting. He'd be showcased offensively if he came here.

Can't imagine Bamba not coming.

We still need another guard, though. I know Cal doesn't like it, but a grad transfer wouldn't be a bad idea. We're going to be short on experience. Might as well add someone who's been through the grind before.

Welp, I thought he had family back in Sudan to try and get out, but google turned up little on that. He certainly had a poor childhood, but his immediate family immigrated to New Hampshire and have done very well for themselves. I thought it was more of an Eric Bledsoe situation, but upon further research it doesn't seen near as dire as that.

Do not have any inside info myself but guys on our premiun site who are usually pretty accurate have not been hopeful about Knox in the last couple of months

Gabriel will be here at least 3 years - I love that !!! He needs to gain strength and lateral quickness- HE can be as good as the kid from Baylor who is gonna be a lottery pick this year - Gabriel came from no where - he will get it done

Cal said it best - 1 and done is not for every player that we recruit - sometimes as fans we expect to much - it is never a bad thing that a player that Cal recruits stays 3 years - we helps our program - we have to have players like that every year to go along with the superstars

His family has lived here for over 10 years. They are not still in Africa. Don't know why they could not wait one more year for more money.

yeah I read up on it, and it isn't as dire as I thought. He still does have some family back there he hopes to visit. But I thought it was more of an Eric Bledsoe dire situation, and I was wrong.

If Booker andUlis had played more the twins would have been more fresh and would have got the job done in the last 3 minutes. Hindsight is always 20/20.
