" first time in my life I've ever said that."Slow it down. They have a better D line and LB. DBs are the weakness.
Track meet favors us, first time in my life I've ever said that. Plus a track meet would get Arnett's D off the field quicker. Slow plowing game will wear them down.
Their ground game has improved over last year. They may try and take the air out. But that strategy didn't work too great for Minnesota.slow the game down or getting in a track meet ?
I kind of wonder whether our depth on D is at the point we should just be super aggressive on early downs. Either get a stop early or give up big chunks of yards and just see if the offense can keep up.Slow it down. They have a better D line and LB. DBs are the weakness.

I don't think the defense "getting off the field quicker" because the opponent scores fast is very good game plan.Slow it down. They have a better D line and LB. DBs are the weakness.

Hopefully half of those are quick stops as well. That's the kicker.I don't think the defense "getting off the field quicker" because the opponent scores fast is very good game plan.
I had the same concern against Sellers at South Carolina. He got his yards (52) but that was on 14 carries and his longest run was 14 yards. I just hope we can limit him somewhere, preferably he doesn't run and pass all over us.Russell gashing us with his legs is my biggest concern. We will most certainly sell out to stop the run or pass depending on down and distance but will be hard pressed to stop Russell from doing it by himself. Pretty much every 3rd and 6 or less will be almost impossible for us to stop because we cant get pressure with 4.
Except that Washington team had the best QB in the country .What people don’t seem to realize is the tempo we play with helps hide some of our OL issues in a significant way. You slow it down too much, you’re going to see just how outmatched we are on the OL.
We don’t win this game without 35 points at a minimum, it might take 40+. Heck this might be like a 52-51 situation. These are two of the best offenses in the country going against good but not great defenses. You’ve got to score, score, and then score some more if you want to win a game like this.
It’s a DeBoer & Grubb offense. They are going to run it some because they are better at it than they were last year, but their primary objective is to sling the ball all over the place. Stylistically this Bama team reminds me quite a bit of DeBoer’s 2023 Washington team that played for a national title.
Russell is pretty dang good too. Young guy but a future first round pick at QB. The hope is maybe he’s still a little green and we can dupe him into some mistakes.Except that Washington team had the best QB in the country .
