It is Oats system. The analytics whackos are all about 3 point shots. How many teams have made FF or Won NCAA titles living and dying from 3?

It is a recipe for disaster.

Sure they can beat anyone on a hot night but if just mediocre to average they are hardly great.

It makes no sense to run that type of system in college. NBA vets like Steph Curry and Durant consistently hitting threes? Sure. But relying on college freshman and sophomores? Seems dumb.

Overall they attempt the 9th most 3's in the country and are ranked 292 in percentage...both probably went wrong direction tonight.

Many on here were clamoring for Nate Oates to replace Cal. He and his gimmick offense are a fraud!

Pitino was as run and gun as I thought it got, but his most prolific attempt team at UK was 25 per game...but they made 10. That's 40%...they weren't gunning 25 and making 6.

Can’t be true. Nate Oats is a HOFer, certainly didn’t lose to Crean. I don’t believe it.

That 2018 Villanova team also was able to get a ton of dunks and layups as well. A lot of the three's they shot were good looks or wide open. Alabama forces so many three's because its the system they play.
