The lack of a rim protector was a glaring weakness last year.
I agree with all the posters who mentioned that Randle wasn't a better passer, drove into double teams, and had a big to play with.
But Randle's offensive game was/is world's better than Bam's. Do not forget that to prevent the hacking Cal starting giving Randle the ball farther from the basket, Bam could never do that.
He is a great kid but would need to to develop much more offensively to play the 4. We did try it a few times with him and Hump and I cannot remember one time he took advantage of the opposite 4.
