No dog in this fight, but I can't think of a context where forfeiting football games and "ballsy move" should be used in the same sentence.Forfeit Ohio State and Wisky games and recruit during those weeks...

You never forfeit a game because you think you have even an excellent chance to lose.
Not playing will not make anybody better. And if this is about psyche, then they need to quit altogether any competitive anything. They do not belong on the field of CFB, the most popular college sport in America. All eyes are always going to be on them.
The players need the fans support. Both hard, but positive, and soft.
They need to realize we're for them. We need to realize they have to do it on the field, we can't take that away from them.
I see your point. I just don't think we would gain enough from the recruiting side of things to justify how much negativity would come from it. We would be all over ESPN for forfeiting. Doubt that is going to sit well with many recruits or players, considering Frost and staff are preaching never quit mentality, fight to the end.I'll take this one...Michigan did not make anyone better. It was a waste of preparation and we were so physically dominated that you cannot take anything from the game, except I know it hurt recruiting, and embarrassed our coaches, players, and fan base. I honestly think the team came to win and were so outclassed that their attitude didn't matter. It is only two games, that are sure losses, and a very high probability of being very painful, and likely to cause injuries. I could see forfeiting being an admission that the #1 goal is recruiting, and allowing the young players a couple of weeks of health to learn all three systems. I am sure we would have to pay a hefty penalty to those teams as they would miss a home game, but in the long run, this would be more positive than negative.

Puss I fixation of Murica. We should forfeit and not compete. Dumbest idea ever. Why play sports?

WtfIt isn't a fair playing field though. We have a seriously handicapped team that will be going up against two robust fully functioning programs, on the road, probably at night. It might be a ***** move, but would it lead to wins in the future? Or maybe we get a massive thunderstorm in Madison and then are asked to play on Sunday morning...should we skip it? And America has always been a bunch of pussies. Just ask Germans and Russians what they thought of our granddads. But that is another topic.
Cmon dude, program has been taking these absurd beat downs since 04 Texas Tech. They still have more coming... get used to it.Forfeit Ohio State and Wisky games and recruit during those weeks...

I believe Beta is the word most of you are looking for. What a wacky thread.Pretty sure forfeitting games would be the opposite of ballsy
Put that up there with the dual head coach idea from a few years ago.
Nobody has an actual argument against it? Just the normal ignorant drivel?
