This is exactly correct. That play is called offensive goaltending 9/10 times. Ours was the one that wasn't.

How was it not in the cylinder? Please explain? You do realize that the " in the cylinder" does not mean actually in the basket. It extends straight up, all the way to space. If that ball was above the rim at all, it is considered "in the cylinder". That ball was definitely in that cylinder above the rim.

Goal tending and not even very close. Those saying otherwise are reveling in being internet contrarians. But, if it's not reviewable, it's just another really poor call in a game that was full of them, and maybe that should be something that's reviewable.
LSU played really well (will probably lose Saturday) and deserved to win. Cats didn't.

There's a lot to learn from this one for our guys - move on and win the big one Saturday.

yes EJ had his hand inside the basket, but as your photo clearly shows, the ball was nowhere near the cylinder at that moment. So, it is a no call.

Cylinder is a weird word, I just realized that after reading it fifty times.

Offensive interference because the ball is inside the cylinder is the softest rule in basketball. It really should only be a defensive rule unless the offensive player grabs the rim.
