Ok?

I don’t get it. Best of luck to him, but I don’t get it.

Maybe we’re getting someone he’d lose minutes to? But who? RJ? I highly doubt it.
Right or Wrong: Jemarl thinks/hopes he will start at Arizona.
But he knows no way he gets that chance at UK.
Just chasing the Dream. And we can't blame him for that.

I guess he said what he said about being happy at UK just to keep speculation down about him leaving when he knew he was leaving all along. Now he goes to a school that has been in the news about cheating for two years and maybe going on probation soon. What kind of thinking is that, wow, he will have to deal it with when it happens.

Don’t understand why people are raggin’ on Baker. Him going to Arizona doesn’t affect us one bit. As a matter of fact, we should thank him for opening up a spot for a better player in Juzang. Best of luck JB.

Baker discussed his commitment with Rivals.com.

“I just loved that it is closer to home, a big stage and the opportunity to come in and be someone that leads the team,” he said. “Just talking to Sean Miller, he has a lot of passion for basketball and to win, and so I do. He has liked me since high school, and I was unsure of all of the players that he had but he talked about getting me back to myself and coming in and being as great of a player that I can be.”

I hope Miller has a lot of passion for selling Furniture because its possible he'll be out of coaching when the dust settles.

If they go on probation, no post season.
But his #1 goal: playing time (and chance to start) at a power 5 school so he can chase the NBA dream.

I totally get that and have no problem if he's taking the Wiltjer path. You have to play to improve.

Good luck to Baker. I don’t follow Zona and they don’t get as much East coast air time. Is there more PT there for him? I realize UK has a stable in front of him, but thought he would go to a lower profile school to get more court time. Can he get that at Zona?

I totally respect him transferring for more opportunity but he went to a place where it's a downgrade in every aspect EXCEPT that he isn't guaranteed that opportunity. There has to be more to this saga.

People said the same thing about UNC a couple years ago remember.

Why would anyone in the world want to go to Arizona right now?? Besides the scandal and facing a probable probabtion and coaching issues, does JB think he can get any more min at Zona than he did at UK?

Hope he does well but just don't see it. Mediocre shooter, mediocre athlete, mediocre height, and subpar ball handler.

Probably tough for him to see two other four stars (Shai and Tyler) blossom into one and dones. But I just don't see he has the physical ability to make an impact

How will Zona be any different for him than UK?

I think it’s more strange for Baker to say he will be leading the team? A brand new player (junior) who’s only played in a small handful of college games and was coming off a 1 1/2 year long injury ? I don’t mean that in a douchey (I genuinely wish the best for him) but that seems a little lofty

Frank, I'm guessing. My son (baseball) was heavily recruited. He chose the school where he could immediately play. If that had not proven to be true, I bet he would have transferred.

Players want to play. Baker spent 2 years injured and sitting. Now he can see the handwriting on the wall: his position is loaded with talent. He has almost zero chance to start at UK and get 20+ mpg.

I presume Arizona has promised what he wanted to hear. He's chasing the dream. I wish him well.

Ego (swag) doesn't always see things 20/20.
But he believes...which is something he had when he signed at UK and lost.
