They have the top rushing defense in the country but they are banged up. They’ve already played all the big boys in the East. I hope we can blow this open tomorrow.

I'm about 50-50. Missed the first 2 games big-time, but have made $$$ on Nebraska since then.
MSU's offense is atrocious and their D is out of gas.
I love Nebraska's offense right now. Statistically, it's fantastic, and has a great mix of people.

Having a real #1 receiver, a stud slot and RB is key.

This will be the easiest offense we have to deal with this year as their line has been completely decimated due to injuries, and as a result they only have 1 starter on the OL that's been playing injured for awhile now and can't afford to have him out there as the other 4 are all backups that have only been starting for a couple of weeks.
Their best receiver and top RB LJ Scott are on the shelf for the year and Leuwerke has an injured shoulder and Lombardi doesn't know the offense that well. On top of that, they have absolutely no run game whatsoever.
If we deploy the same defensive scheme we did against OSU even if our D has been putrid, we hold them to 10-14 points. Bush was and is the only running QB that we've faced or will face from here on out.
We used a different scheme against the Illini last week due to AJ's running ability and the triple option. That is something we don't have to worry about this game. GO BIG RED!!

RSS, thread says he didn't practice all week.
Still like The Corn, but I can see why the O/U is dropping now with the wind and (if) JD sits.
SF said JD has played enough and though he prefers players to practice during the week that it was more important to give him some rest to heal up.
It’ll be interesting. Frost said JD didn’t need to practice this week to play. But things definitely seem to be stacking up against us today. The guys have been fighting hard this last two months, hopefully they can keep it going and overcome.
These 36mph winds take away our vertical passing game and force our offense right into MSU’s hands with their #1 ranked rush defense.
This game falls on our pitiful defense stopping the pitiful MSU defense. And despite how pitiful their offense is, our defense is probably more pitiful.

This will be a very difficult game to win, and if Nebraska does, it will be by a td or less. But a win is a win.
