Dumb move on his part but it seems like the Lions acted prematurely releasing him before test results are even in. I am sure a grievance will be filed by the player's union, especially if test results come back negative.

I didn’t know that was the reason for waiving him. When first reports came out it sounded like this happened after he was waived for roster reasons or whatever, but I guess not.
He was a marginal NFL defensive back. This alleged DUI may end his pro football career.
Thankfully he has the Notre Dame degree to fall back on.
