It was wishful thinking anyway. The majority of these big time recruits want to play for big time coaches and relevant schools. Unfortunately N is not that right now. If you land a few great but I'd say there was a lot of reaching thinking we'd be a top 10-15 class.

Please, I highly doubt this literally happens. Talking about 17 year old recruits on a Husker message board this time of year concerning Husker football =/= entering fans' personal lives or lives revolving around recruiting...

Strongly disagree there are guys on RSS freaking out today and not just a few. Smh

Unfortunately Nebraska needs to do more with less on the field at this point to get the attention of more high profile recruits in order to get them to actually sign in the future.

That is why Riley was hired...He did less with more at Oregon State where recruiting is basically impossible

Not sure we can make that judgment yet. Get back to me in two years....

Fair enough, but this staff didn't even come close to winning championships with mostly 3-star recruits at Oregon State. It's hard to believe they will do so now in a better conference against better coaches. Especially when you see how we fared against a very young Ohio State team this year.

Really-didn't even come close? He was a game away from the Rose Bowl a couple of times and beat USC when Pete Carroll was there twice. Did you even know that or bother to check or you just spouted off agenda-driven nonsense?

I guess if you consider finishing 3rd in the conference with at least one blowout loss to be "close". Hard to believe Oregon State such a great coach leave.
