Hawkins and Willis are bringing us nothing, -'s yet Gabriel sits the bench...the guy brings 100% effort and rebounds, but sits so Willis can stand around the perimeter and not go rebound or play any defense. Surprised Coach hasn't put in Brad yet.

Gabriel may bring 100% effort, but he's not laterally quick enough to stay in front of his man. It's a glaring issue in his game.
Bad coaching ? WB cant guard anyone and has issues with strength . now a month from now WB probably will be ready for a big gam like this. but today Willis and Hawkins are best coaching move
Not even remotely close to accurate. Derek did miss a few rebound opportunity, but Gabriel was lost all day. Completely ineffective.
Out coached.....out played....wrong lineups...bad matchups.....waaay too much Bricko.......Horrific D......No Mulder.....Not enough Bam....Fox looking to score instead of pass.....Cats and Cal failed miserably today.
Gabriel couldnt guard a granny in the wheelchair paralympics.
Would like to have seen Jones play....think he would have gotten rebounds that we needed.

It kills me. I understand Cal will make mistakes. Hey guess who else does/did.....Wooden, Rupp, Knight, even the almighty Kryzyzewski. But to sit on your couch, shove some potato chips in your face, and drink a beer while watching the game on TV and say "well the answer was so simple, why didn't he see it?! He's a bad X's & O's coach!!" is more than a little retarded.
What does everyone expect from Cal? He's always been an average coach and everyone knows it. He has 28 NBA draft picks and only 1 title. If it weren't for Anthony Davis, he would have zero. Great recruiter, average coach.

It's possible to watch the game, see obvious mistakes, and point them out without being an actual college basketball coach. I guess no one is allowed to criticize Obama or Trump either because, hell, "you couldn't do better."
It's a silly point. We're on a college basketball message board. People are going to talk about what went wrong in the game. That's pretty much the entire purpose of this place.
UK fans need to realize that Cal on a scale if 1-10 Cal is:
recruiting - 10
in game coaching - 4 or 5

you don't' know what you are watching because it was clear it was a part of the game plan to not shoot 3's and pound it inside to foul out their bigs. Other wise Willis would have gotten the hook if he did not do the right thing. Cal's leash with Willis is very short.
It never fails to happen after a loss. The know it all idiots come out in full force.
One mistake that Cal has made...he told Briscoe to keep shooting...mistake!
I think Cal lays an intentional egg from time to time to see how the team will respond. He even did it with the '15 team to see how they would react to a tight game. He found out today his team has to be constantly coached and told what to do or else they're lost.
Wish Briscoe would have skipped shooting in the game.
