I really like Malaki Branham in the Ohio St games I've watched this year.
Penn State is giving Illinois all it can handle in Champaign. Sunday will not be easy.
Just to clarify. Whom you root for has exactly zero impact on the outcome. Therefore, feel free to root for whomever you wish.
Them playing Illinois so tough might be a good thing for us to stay focused. We need to come out and handle our business on Sunday.
Agree, been concerned about this game for a long time especially now that it really means something. We don't match up that well with them for whatever reason and the pressure will certainly be on us. Thanks god we are at the RAC, but very concerned.
What is our best scenario for Penn States state of mind for our game? They pull off the upset? Lose a close one or they get rolled in the 2nd half?
I would actually say them winning would be the best case, getting blown out a close 2nd. Losing a close one I think worst case as would make them the most hungry.

The Penn St effort is a result of Nebraska going into Penn St and beating the bricks off them by over 30 ended up a 23 pt loss at home. Kids always respond strong the game after a blowout loss with better effort next game.
Always hard to know how these outcomes translate but I think your thinking is as good as any. Them winning on the road at Illinois would definitely keep our guys focused. The pundits are thinking we definitely win this game. Andy Katz made it sound like a foregone conclusion last night on the BIG Show. I know it's because he is on our bandwagon and has been pushing the positive narrative that we are now in, but maybe Penn State pulling off the upset is the impetus to keep us more focused. Not that we need it really cause they have handled us well the past couple of years.

They played as easy a conference schedule as possible in terms of who they played twice. OOC they played 3 tough games, were beaten handily in two and beat UConn close.
They have an experienced team and a stud 5* freshman who will be a first rounder. They just can’t play defense.

Penn State got screwed on that out of bounds call and the jump ball/foul call. But they have missed way too many shots to win. I think they are 0-7 in the last five minutes.
If we are thinking of the same out of bounds call, it was Illinois who got screwed.
