B1G - who to root for tonight

Need Ohio state to pick up one more loss and then we’re in the driver’s seat for the last double bye
For big ten standings root for the Michigan schools.
Argument could be made that Michigan losing helps us with bubble scenarios but I don't think it's important.

This. If the Mich schools win, it’s up to us to beat PSU and we are, unthinkably, a top-4 seed in the Big Ten and will have 2 days extra rest in the tournament
Can you explain Michigan since they are on the bubble with us? Is it because of the double bye?
I'm rooting for the double bye, so I want Iowa and Ohio State to lose.
A couple others:
Temple over Houston (would be huge)
Lehigh over Army (always root for opponents to boost NET)
Cincy over SMU (bubble buster)

You can make arguments either way on the B1G games tonight. Depends if you want double bye or not and how you weigh that against Michigan losing out and missing the tourney.
Why Temple over Houston? Don't get that one.
Worrying more about bubble teams losing than the double bye right now.
Best of both worlds if you are patient:
Iowa over Michigan, loses to Illinois on Sunday
Michigan State over Ohio State
Rutgers over Penn State
Result: #4 seed, plus at least one more Michigan loss. Even better if they then lose to Ohio State, if you want to hurt their bubble hopes.

I believe Patrick McCaffery might be out tonight. That’s going to be tough on the road for Iowa.
Hopefully, Key is still out for OSU.

Temple has zero shot at an At Large bid. Look at their losses. NET 112.
We want Houston to be less of a quality win for SMU and Memphis.
If we end up in a tie for 4th with Michigan and Michigan State we win that "pod".. I think.
So, basically, root for everyone already over us to lose
But I can’t root for Michigan.
If Michigan state wins tonight, it could lead to their net going up to 30 which would add another Q1 win for us

B) if they beat Ohio State, their NET will get close to the top 30 as well, giving us a potential 8th Quad 1 win!

However, if you look at LUNARDI, a Michigan loss likely would put them in first four and move us up out of it. Very tricky here.

Ding ding ding. Double bye assures us we won’t have another bad loss before the year and that’s much more valuable than a win over a bottom tier big ten team.
Agreed....Mich is 32 and MSU 35 in Net. Could give is 2 more Q1 wins for 8-5.
