Think we'll get our game in?

I work in downtown Omaha and am trying to decide if I want to stick around the office LATE or just call it a day and hope it is pushed to tomorrow morning.

Ohio St just got pushed back to 6:35pm at the earliest, and no game can start after 11pm. I don't think we'll play tonight.

I'm not a big fan of holding your best pitchers out of the first game. I get the thought behind it, but usually you just out-think yourself.

Minnesota's Friday night starter, Max Meyer, has been injured for the last 2 weeks with a bad ankle sprain and will not pitch this weekend.

The game should be underway by 10, depending on if there isn't any lightning they might cover the infield and wait it out and finish the game tonight.

Looks like Heavy Rain expected to come in around 11:00pm..

Don’t see the point starting a game your not going to finish when you can start it at 10:00 or 11:00 AM tomorrow and you would be right on schedule..

Only down side the loser in game 8 would have to play a double hitter tomorrow..

So here is the best thing that can happen. Postpone the game to tomorrow at 11 am. Nebraska wins the morning game, Iowa wins the night game. Iowa wins again and plays Nebraska in the Championship game. I would love for us to beat them in the championship that would also tie the series at 3 for the year.

I look at the weather situation this way. If this were a regular weekend series, they would push this game back in a heartbeat due to upcoming weather. Why not just make the announcement now and not even try to wait. It would be different if they had 4 games scheduled tomorrow.
