You mean a fan and his family that have attended Rutgers games for decades, who get to their seats early and don't leave until the end of the game no matter the score and weather, we need fewer of those types of fans? If you are going to say that we are only a few playmakers away from beating PSU and OSU then you have to be consistent and look at the Temple game and in fact the MSU game as well. Our current roster is not one or two players away from being at the top tier of the B1G, we won 3 B1G games this year, not 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9. We are not even a consistent middle of the pack B1G program yet, maybe one day, but not yet. I am optimistic on our future, but not delusional.
You are confusing "one or two players away from beating UM, PSU and OSU" with "one or two players away from being as good or as talented as them".

Totally different things.

And yes, Temple game was a lot closer than the final scores and yes that game was in doubt when they pulled close.
