B1G Basketball Tonight

I’ll be watching #1 MSU take on #2 Kentucky at MSG on ESPN at 9:00 (or later depending on the completion of the #3 Kansas vs #4 Duke game).

I always root for the B1G when A. the team is not playing us and B. the team is not Penn State. However, I just don't see Michigan State ranked #1. It seems because they have arguably the best point guard, they are the top ranked team. True, they have the talent for a Top 10 team, but I think they will lack the depth in the front-court this year to repeat a trip to the final Four. The loss of Ward will hurt them but Tillman looks to take a step up and Henry looks good too. It's a shame Langford will be out for a while. I wonder if Rocket Watts starts as a freshman (gotta love that name). Still, I hope I'm wrong but I look for them to be a mild disappointment this year.

Yea ESPN3 used to be free with a cable subscription. Now that’s not even worth anything to them anymore.

If the experts really did their job in evaluating the talent on teams, then they would realize several B1G teams are overrated. IMO Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota are not superior to Rutgers.
