When are they going to announce it? It's now approaching a month later than last year!

The new stadium has to be a major factor in holding it back.
I suspect the biggest factor in the delay is the abrupt cancellation of the Notre Dame-USC series. They've known about the new stadium for 2 years.

But they don't know when it will be ready and this winter hasn't helped. Not discounting ND-USC, but that only involves 1 conference member. USC also does not have an FCS opponent scheduled so they have flexibility.

Agreed -- home B1G games this year are Iowa / PSU / Rutgers / Illnoise.
IIlnoise always last, stadium def open by then; not a huge deal if Iowa / Rutg at Martin and so maybe conf would care about PSU at Martin, but not enough to hold up whole sched. Since we don't know when NRF opening will be announced, no way conf would want to wait - or could wait.

That game only involves one conference member, but this year would have been ND @ USC and that game is traditionally played on the final weekend of the season. I imagine the conference would prefer that USC not close the season on a bye or against an FCS opponent, so they'll have to move other games around as a result.

USC also made it clear ages ago they weren't playing that game on that day.
