My "source" mentioned earlier today...

Nebraska President Ted Carter says this morning, not knowing he's on a hot mic, before a news conference: "We're getting ready to announce the Huskers and Big Ten football tonight” via @KETZ— Brett McMurphy (@Brett_McMurphy) September 15, 2020

Feels like they are coming back, just a matter of when. The rumor is they're going to try to play an 8 game schedule and finish around the same time as everybody else in order to qualify for the Playoff. If I was the Playoff I would tell them they're not eligible but I know that won't happen.

Gonna be some national media guys getting roasted on Old Takes Exposed if this ends up being the case. And all of them who toted the water for the Big 10 absolutely deserve the bashing they are about to get.

The big question is, how many schools will be playing? Hopefully it's all 14.

The talk yesterday was that it would likely only be 8 or 9 teams participating. Not sure if that includes Michigan and/or Mich State. At the moment, I believe Mich State’s entire campus is currently closed / quarantining.

OHST playing football and Michigan sitting out a year.. Whoo boy..

..This fall is shaping up to be a helluva Michael Jackson eating popcorn moment.

This whole presidential election cycle would be FABULOUS entertainment if it wasn't so terrible for the country.

Looking forward to all the national college football writers writing stories calling them stubborn for trying to play

I saw that as well. Just adding that the announcement should come in an hour or so.

Sounds like it's happening in some shape or form.

If they announce intentions to play, is this not going to completely 17 up the playoffs? Earliest they could possibly start is mid October and finish a month behind the rest of the country.

The B1G 10 commissioner should be handed his papers today. What a complete cluster 17.

If Trump wins its because the Democrats couldn’t wait till November 4th to be Woke...and that Kamala would be President by June 2021

Won’t have any impact on the playoff, if you get my meaning.

Interestingly, that same article links a poll that says 59% of Michigan residents approve of the way she’s handled the pandemic, while only 42% of those polled approve of Trump’s handling of the pandemic.

If Trump wins in November (I don’t think he will), these pollsters should all permanently be out of jobs. I mean that on a national level, not just Michigan.

Remember that polls can say whatever the pollster wants them to. It's all in the way the question is worded and the sample selected. If polls were anywhere near accurate, Hillary would be our president today.

Polls have a margin of error....Hillary still won the national popular vote by 2.2% and almost 3 million votes. That margin was within the polling margin of error. Trump drew an inside straight with a very specific demographic in a very specific region (lower middle class whites in the Rust Belt) that led to his victory. But it was never a guarantee that Hillary was going to win based on the polls....she was never popular and never had anything close to an insurmountable advantage.

The polling error also works both ways. In November, Obama had a similar lead over Romney as Hillary did over Trump, and the shift on election night was in the complete opposite direction.
