We continue to blast Pike about the offense (or lack of one), but what seems to be getting ignored in this is Brandin Knight. Isn’t he the coach who is running the offense? Is it maybe time to part ways after this season?

in some ways I believe this assistant staff is overrated

if you recall, those Pitt teams played ugly basketball. Hard nose, physical, first to 60 wins. He was a horrible free throw shooter, but great defender and good ball handler. If he knows anything about offense he certainly didn’t pick it up during his playing days.
The way we shoot the ball, the likelihood of us winning games in a free-wheeling wide-open offense diminishes, especially when our best athlete and rebounder spends most of every first half glued to the bench.
A good start would be to check the Rutgers basketball website. The site gives some detail on coaches as well as players.

Our best rebounder gets plenty of minutes. His name is Ron.
Maybe he should talk to the Iowa head coach as they just scored more than 100 points after losing Garza and some other starters.
Is the lack of solid recruiting because of underwhelming assistants? Usually each staff has an assistant who specializes in recruiting. Whose our ace in the hole?
The Alabama coach was on Finebaum’s Show today. He was asked about his recruiting success. One of the factors is the offense he runs. The players love running it, and they feel it’s attractive to NBA scouts/execs.
It’s funny that the two years we “qualified“ for the tournament we had a speed guard. Coincident?
