If UK could get only one of these guys with zero eligibility issues, who would you want??

Carter then Bamba. You can't lose with either. Outstanding players and students.

Aren't Carter and Trent, Jr. a proposed package deal? In that case he's my pick.

Bamba, then Ayton, then Carter. But that's no diss to Carter. All 3 are way better than any center in the '16 class.

The perception of Ayton is dampened because no one thinks he'll play. That kid is fantastic on the court.

I'll go Ayton, Bamba, Carter. I think at the college level, Bamba's motor, length and defense are the most guaranteed to translate. Offense can vanish. You almost never see a defensive phenom underperform in that regard.

Reminds me of the '09 class, when Demarcus, Favors, and Sidney were talked about like this early on, although Sidney fell a little behind in perception due to excessive rotundity, and then... well, we saw how that turned out.

Does anyone know which one Duke is least likely to get? That's the answer.

First choice would be Ayton. Give me whichever one that wants to play for UK over any other cbb team out there, that wants to sign up right now without all the drama.

Gonna say Ayton. He has a skill set that Cal has worked well with before. Then Bamba his length is freakish. Carter last mostly just the Duke vibe I guess. Would be thrilled with any. Would be intriguing to sign a pure 5 like Bamba and Ayton who could def play the 4. If we are gonna dream might as well dream right?

Ayton was outplayed by both this summer on the AAU circuit, which is crazy since Ayton has another 7' team mate that is in the top 10 or so.
Bamba has the most upside, so I would go with him. Very aggressive on the defensive end

Yeah they both out played Ayton but Ayton has a similar mindset to Kat and some perimeter skills and he is carrying about 260 lbs. I like how Cal works with that kinda player. I think Ayton will be similar to Kat bit is already a little ahead with his inside play. But it is close and would love to sell Ayton as a 4 and Bamba as a 5.

Depends on your definition of "outplayed". Ayton is averaging 19.5 & 11.5. Carter is averaging 16.8 & 10.2. Bamba; 12.7 & 13.9. Carter is shooting better but Ayton plays on the perimeter a lot. Probably more than he should.

Ayton and Carter is but Bamba isn't. He would be behind Allen overall

was talking about head to head competition..............Carter put up 30 points & 16 rebounds against Ayton..........Ayton had like 19 points & 12 rebounds...........these stats may not be exact but they are pretty close. Again, Carter did these against 2 7' opponents, both ranked in the top 10. IMO, Carter pretty much showed that he is the top dog right now

Don't care where they would be ranked but I watched Bamba, he isn't better than Bam, Allen or Bolden. His offense is equivalent to Noel (actually worse) he is more of a high potential guy.

Also does this mean every guy ranked ahead of Monk, Bam, Wenyen is better than them now?

QUOTE="JasonSpear, post: 4668840, member: 1254"]Nope. All 3 of those guys would be ranked ahead of the top ranked center in the 2016 class.[/QUOTE]

Ah I gotcha. I will say that Carter is probably the most polished of the 3 right now. The Okafor of this year, so to speak. I think Bamba & Ayton have more potential though. And Cal has a way of helping guys reach their potential pretty quick.

They're 3 very different players but honestly they're so close, I'd take any of the 3 without batting an eye worrying about the one I'd prefer most.

Also now that I caught up on the EYBL games I would put Michtell Robinson in this category. I know I said the opposite last time I mentioned him but that was before I caught up on all the games. He is a beast on defense. Offense is raw like Bamba though
