True, I'm planning on staying either way to watch the winner square off with Gonzaga. In football I used to root for Vandy while the teams played, but given NU's history in basketball it's a much tougher decision to make.

This is a no brainer. FloridaDude do your job. Posting privileges are suspended until you come to your senses. Seek help if this "dilemma " lasts more than 4 hours. We will welcome you back when you are wearing purple, and only purple, to the game.

This is very conflicting for me. Root for the alma mater or the childhood favorite...
Cheer for them both and hope it's a fantastic game of awesome players giving every minute of their best for forty minutes.

If both teams play great, you can't lose.

Cheer for lots of points, and no injuries, and a fun, well-coached finish. It's a rare opportunity to just enjoy the game.

But wear purple - you don't want to look like a square.

You will know in the first few minutes. One team will get a lead and you will be excited or fell sick about it. It's a game and you are a fan, enjoy.

When I moved north of Green Bay, I was a Bears fan. I had nothing against the Packers but I grew up in Chicago. After a few years I found I would root for both teams but when they would play I still cheered for the Bears, the one day, I found I really wanted the Packers to win. It really crept up on me.
