Hope Avent’s career ends today huddled around a tv screen with his team.

Avent was a competitor and definitely had a style about him but he seemed like a nice and unselfish guy that cared about his team and the sport in general. Sadly not all college coaches these days have that same respect for the kids and the game.

After some of the things ole Dave and Wade said about UNC and our players/coaches publicly I respect Avent even more.

Other than him being a wolfie, I’ve heard that he is a very nice/likeable guy. You can’t deny that he has been a pretty good coach.

I can confirm this. I played for him and he knew I was a Carolina fan. Loved me anyway. If you are one of his guys you are one of his guys and he will fight his *** off for you…
