Our old friend Donte, didn’t waste anytime going after him at USC.

Hmmmm......Guess I need to make an effort to see this kid play next fall. Donte obviously recruiting him while he was still at Oregon.

Donte seemed to connect with kids but the dB room had 0 improvement when he was here. T Fisher on the other hand is really tuning some dudes up.

I haven't heard much chatter on this guy. Any idea on where he stands? Or is there not a ton of info out?

He’s someone that doesn’t speak much but the recruiting gurus said it will end up being a 3 team race between NU, OSU and Oregon. We are the favorite to land him but we can’t go to sleep on him either.

Mike Riley still has his hooks in him?

I can't remember a more schizo program situation than USC currently. Couldn't be more obvious that Helton is 75% out the door unless something miraculous happens next season. Not sure why a top recruit would consider them at the moment.

We have thought that abut USC the last two years. I can't ever remember a guy that was essentially a lame duck as long as Helton has been.

Would be hilarious if Helton does have a great year then ditches USC for an NFL gig. He’s certainly been on a short leash for some time. Has to be tiring.

I know USC is a private institution so perhaps financial resources are aplenty, but is it possible they might be cash strapped due to previous buyouts?
