The last paragraph of the article even acknowledges KP is not linked to any wrongdoing. Apparently, his name was mentioned in a message. That doesn't implicate him in anything.

The text exchange seems more like KP was being informed by DeBose and sort of validates that he is NOT involved in the scheme. How could KP be involved if he is seemingly surprised by the money being paid to recruits?
So haven't been following this. Does this relate to the Avanatti case or a separate investigation into Nike corruption? Does anyone have a link to where this is all coming from?

The real issue is not that Nike paid players, which we know has been taking place (Marvin Bagley's family pocketed hundreds of thousands of dollars) but that Nike seems to be funneling the top kids to Duke. That is a bigger scandal because Nike is acting as an agent of Duke's and illegally paying these kids and their family.
Aau people are acting as if they are looking out for the best interest of the player when really they are lining their own pockets. Now I’m sure there are good people in that business but I believe they are few and far between. The power of the almighty dollar and to tell the truth I can’t say I blame the kids when everyone around you is making money off your talent.

The timeline is too coincidental. Cal is a great recruiter but has had a few off seasons and high profile misses.

Which is not a UK board. My opinions here are always civil. Even as I digest the worse remarks against the team I cheer for.
