I thought after AC's catch that he landed on the db and bounced up without any part of his body touching the ground-I was screaming at the TV for him to run rather than celebrate

Same here... I thought his knees didn't touch the ground and should have kept on running.

Yes I saw the same thing but was told that a whistle was blown immediately.
I thought the ref continued to watch Carr, knowing the play was still alive. I believe the ref eventually ruled the play dead believing AC had given himself up

I didn't hear a whistle either, or see the ref do anything obvious to call the play dead immediately, which is why I raised the same question. Somebody told me they heard a whistle though.

I also thought that AC was not down on that play, but in rewatching the game today I noticed a replay of the catch at the beginning of the second half. That replay was from a different angle than what was shown in the 1Q and if you go frame-by-frame you can see AC's left knee hit the grass as he is rolling off the DB. Additionally, the ref is in a good position to see the knee hit the ground so I believe the right call was made.

What is even more interesting is that it appears that Vitale's right foot goes out-of-bounds at the 4 yard line on his TD reception and the play was never even reviewed. Nice to get a break for once!

Go Cats!!!

His knee clearly hit. BTN showed it from the end zone he was running toward, I rewound it twice and slow-mo'd it. It was clear as a bell that his knee hit.

I was hosting an "Irish Wake" for my sister and couldn't watch the entire game. After testing the Jameson's to insure its purity and offering a few toasts to celebrate my sister's life, I am not sure I would have recognized his knee being down anyway
