Okay, who is this Bruce Ahrens dipshit?
While I wont quite go that far, if they stay healthy (which seems to be a problem for them) they should easily content for the conference title and get a decent seed.Creighton will be a Final Four contender next year, while Nebrasketball will be lucky to win a single Big Ten game.
They were projected to be a top 10 team without this addition..While I wont quite go that far, if they stay healthy (which seems to be a problem for them) they should easily content for the conference title and get a decent seed.
I know. Im just speaking from past experience. They seem to always have an injury that knocks them down a peg or 4.They were projected to be a top 10 team without this addition..

Will be interesting to see if the big kid from the Bahamas is legit. Creighton needs rebounding help in a big way if they're going to live up to the Top 10 billing. They were projected to be a top 10 team without this addition..
Top 50 in rebounding last year.. but any and all help will be goodWill be interesting to see if the big kid from the Bahamas is legit. Creighton needs rebounding help in a big way if they're going to live up to the Top 10 billing.
I don't think any Jay fan thinks that? This is awesome!
LOVE that jays with expectations.
Also love that Jay fans think only their young players can get better and other teams young players just spaz out and get worse.
Top 50 in rebounds per game, but only +2 in rebounding margin. That will need to improve, and it should. Kaluma got a lot stronger on the boards late in the year and Kalkbrenner is improving.*Top 50 in rebounding last year.. but any and all help will be good
Shooting/offense and turnovers killed them last season too. Hopefully they can turn that around.Top 50 in rebounds per game, but only +2 in rebounding margin. That will need to improve, and it should. Kaluma got a lot stronger on the boards late in the year and Kalkbrenner is improving.
that right there, says it all.I don't think any Jay fan thinks that?
They had a top 10 recruiting class last season with everyone coming back in addition to some strong pick ups this offseason... Stay salty man
Your last sentence says it all: Also love that Jay fans think only their young players can get better and other teams young players just spaz out and get worse... Never heard anyone with this take.that right there, says it all.
Bro...I am anything but salty, I LOVE that they have high expectations this season.
Final Four or bust, right? I am assuming you are a Jay fan...if you are, it is safe to say that anything less than a FF season is a bad season, rightt?
And there it is.Your last sentence says it all: Also love that Jay fans think only their young players can get better and other teams young players just spaz out and get worse... Never heard anyone with this take.
I am a Jay fan. Typically have "High expectations" for the team... similar to how us Football fans have "High expectations" for the team.... wouldn't say that no FF would be a bad season.. NCAA tournament is too unpredictable to say that
They are. And probably would have been close to it with Wright still there. With Jay Wright gone, I think jays are now preseason favorite in the Big East.
If they don't win the Big East this year, it will be be a HUGE flop. They are. And probably would have been close to it with Wright still there.
The only thing annoying about the jays are their fans.I used to hate Creighton a lot but they’ve become pretty hard to root against since joining the big east. I’ll never be a fan, but I no longer actively hate them.
meanwhile our teams are becoming nearly impossible to root for.
You just sound like an idiot and I am only reading your garbage. Creighton will have expectations and they will be good but the Big East is a tough haul and getting to the final four is even tougher. You create some false dilemma that Creighton can only be considered good if they win the Big East and go to the final four. Lots of other outcomes could be considered good but have to see how things play out for them.If they don't win the Big East this year, it will be be a HUGE flop.
So they are going to be favored to win the Big East: CheckYou just sound like an idiot and I am only reading your garbage. False dilemma, tard.So they are going to be favored to win the Big East: Check
They will be preseason top 5ish?: Check
They will be a preseason FF pick: Check
Why are you mad?
If they don't live up to the hype, it is a ****** season, that is how expectations work.
You can't have good without bad.
I personally think they win the Big East with ease, I think they will be top 10 for sure and I think they will get a 1 seed and make the FF.
And there we have another Jay fan getting mad and slinging names around...wait for it. Because a non-jay fan said they have a stacked team and will have a great year.False dilemma, tard.
Or are you mad that NU was never really in it to get Scheierman so you are trying to cover your disappointment in that, as well as your overall life, by posing a false dilemma? If this is too advanced for you, I understand. And there we have another Jay fan getting mad and slinging names around...wait for it. I don't blame the players. I blame the new rules for making a complete mockery of what college sports is supposed to be.After seeing what happened to Justyn Ross from Clemson at the draft last weekend, I am all for players cashing in when they can. Get that $$ now because one serious injury can truly change the entire trajectory of a player's career and professional income.
I think it would be funny if creighton would lose in round one next years ncaa basketball tournament. I hate them as much as Texas and Iowaover/under: Nebraska conference wins vs Creighton NCAA tourney seed
tough one
No, I am not a Husker basketball fan. So, now that you know that it sort of ruins everything you have been saying.Or are you mad that NU was never really in it to get Scheierman so you are trying to cover your disappointment in that, as well as your overall life, by posing a false dilemma? I have to admit I don't watch the Blue Jays too often. A little bit, but not enough to really know them. Is Nembhard's little brother, the one on the Jays, better than his brother? The Zags' Nembhard had a terrible final against Baylor last year and was just as bad this year when they lost to Arkansas in the tourney. He wasn't very good in their losses earlier in the season against Alabama and Duke too. He could be good when the Zags were overwhelming a team, but when they got pressure his turnover margin when up.While I wont quite go that far, if they stay healthy (which seems to be a problem for them) they should easily content for the conference title and get a decent seed.
Creighton’s Nembhard is a different type of player than his brother. Quite a bit smaller and kind of a throwback to the old-style point guard. For any fellow geezers who remember, he reminds me of Lenny Wilkens. Whether he’s better than his brother depends on what you’re looking for, but he’s damn good.I have to admit I don't watch the Blue Jays too often. A little bit, but not enough to really know them. Haha you are way off base here. Learn some reading comprehension...... Tard.Or are you mad that NU was never really in it to get Scheierman so you are trying to cover your disappointment in that, as well as your overall life, by posing a false dilemma? If this is too advanced for you, I understand.
I think teams might start holding an open scholly for mid year transfers. Illinois got a op 100 big from Baylor last year that way.I can't find an up-to-date roster for the Hoiskers. Correct me where I am wrong:
Big men: Walker, Breidenbach, Keita, Kojenets, and maybe Mayan
Swing players: Griesel, Wilcher, Dawson
Little guys: McPherson, Tominaga, Lloyd, Lawrence, and maybe Trey
Without Mayan and Trey, that means we have 11 scholarships (can have 13) and a staring line up that would likely be:
Griesel, Wilcher, Walker, Breidenbach, and... McPherson?
Yeah, we could really have benefitted from Scheierman.
Ha...Thank you!Haha you are way off base here. Learn some reading comprehension...... Tard.
Don’t care one way or another for Creighton but amazing how far they’ve come. When I was in HS, late 80’s they are in a half *** conference and the arena was darn empty when they played (at least the times i went.). The big east changing allowing the a conference move has been the perfect fit and enabler for them. Funny the football craze of conference change was a big lift for Creighton hoops. Kudos to them.It will be Creighton.
Honestly, it probably saved them and gave them at least some chance to not bleed money non-stop.Don’t care one way or another for Creighton but amazing how far they’ve come. Also adding Jasen green and a developed Mason Miller could really help on the boards. Remember Miller was a 4 star top 63 player.Top 50 in rebounds per game, but only +2 in rebounding margin. That will need to improve, and it should. Kaluma got a lot stronger on the boards late in the year and Kalkbrenner is improving.*
*Bracing for more squealing and pants-pissing, for making such a brash prediction.
By chance, was he the 63rd rated player out of the top 63?Also adding Jasen green and a developed Mason Miller could really help on the boards. Remember Miller was a 4 star top 63 player.
