I didn't realize that 6 schools were still involved. I thought we were further along in the process. I'm still hopeful that he will choose RU.

I did notice that he and one other recruit are the only two still up on the home page of this site. There were ten, but the 4 who had already committed elsewhere were finally removed. But now 4 more are gone so I'm wondering what happened to them.

Hint - just because a recruit releases a top list doesn't mean all those schools are in play or being considered by the recruit.

I just watched players Jr highlights.

OMG - that team had the best high school blocking I've seen in years. Find out who that coach is. The RB is fast but he always has gaps and daylight

He should be ours. We are better than Michigan St across the board. Football, academics, atmosphere, across the board. Not even close.

That's the RB coach. I'm talking about the OL coach. He's got that unit spooky good. They don't even look like they trying hard - they just get it done nice and slick. Great instincts and field awareness. WRs can block too
You do realize that Augie was the head coach and was an OL at BC and for his cup of coffee on practice squads in the NFL, right?

Don't know how Hoffman got the step up to the RU staff but I'm sure delivering commitments from studs that he previously coached had to be a MAJOR consideration.

He's got to be facing a lot of pressure to close on Estime.

That's why I always say screw the RB give me the Offensive lineman. Anyone could run through those holes and look good. The little guys make highlight reels, the big guys win championships.

It is upfront on the O & D lines where you win that has never changed. There is no question that a great RB is a hard find... plenty of good ones out there but maybe only rated a 2-3 * ...would have loved Estime here but why are we wasting our energy ... maybe we find the next Ray Rice ? A guy like al Shadee Salaam is smaller but is under valued IMHO... I’m sure we can still find one perhaps a transfer after signing day...

I can wrap my head around a kid going to MSU because his grandfather played there. I can even see a RB from NJ going to Wisconsin because of the recent success. But a kid with seemingly no personal connection picking MSU is a head scratcher. GS will eventually win a large majority of these kids but it shows there’s a lot of work left to fix the damage caused by Ash.

Why wouldn't Audric Estime pick Rutgers????? Rutgers new Offensive Coordinator had the top running back, in the U.S.A., in terms of yards gained last year. What more could a RB ask for?

I’m sure there is more we will learn about this going forward. We unfortunately don’t have any real cred now and the negative recruiting is always there. What is strange is with a new staff at MSU how did it swing so quickly away from RU especially with both from the same high school program and with their former coach. VanDerMark if I recall was claiming he could see himself playing for his former coach ? What changed so drastically and if he did wish he to follow his grandfather’s legacy just say it.

No just a little cafe with excellent food and service... don’t know if a connection exists but damn Rutgers fans alone would make the place iconic... Tough for MSU fans to stop by weekly...

Estime is a pretty common Haitian last name.

Yes I understand that and the ancestral linage back to one of their first presidents ... just curious since many of these players at Bosco , BC , Paramus Cath. and St.Peters come out of areas in Monmouth , Middlesex , Union counties... almost swore I read he was from this area of the state but anyway this cafe is small , homey and has great food...Duke Estime is a James Beard award winning chef who also was at Le Malt in Avenel NJ

Mel Tucker MSU head coach has been around mostly as a D coordinator at Georgia , at Ohio State way back as a DB coach... he played at Wisconsin ...he also was the interim head coach at Jacksonville and was connected to Saban ... here’s the kick in the nuts... his wife a lawyer is a Rutgers grad ... Tucker was head coach at Colorado for 1 unspectacular year but he does have a respectable background ... the fans at Colorado hate him for how he first turned MSU down ...said he was staying with the Buffs ...then reneged and left...but sorry to say I ain’t losing sleep over an unproven player no matter how many stars... need to play ....need to show improvements...need to WIN.

T. Hunt’s article today pretty much confirms its MSU, holding off commitment until he figures A semi graceful way to tell Augie to pound sand. as Greg has said we’re unique you either want to be here or you don’t And he doesn’t for whatever reason
