Audio Shows on WBB

Wondering if there are any plans to post podcasts/YouTube shows about the Women's team? Would be really cool to have a postgame show for the UCLA game later this week!

The game is televised on ESPN; therefore, I do not think they will need to have a post podcast since people will be able to see it on national tv.

I agree, I wish IC would expand its content for WBB. we have podcasts and shows devoted to the men's sports, even though those are televised. Would love some analysis! Too bad our $$ doesn't get us an even playing field here.

It's tricky as Coach Banghart has turned down requests to come on an IC show. She did appear on an IC show early on but I sorta assumed she declines b/c she was on other podcasts early on and got some flak for what she said (not on an IC one). Tommy does a great weekly baseball show with Coach Forbes... because Forbes is willing to do it.

• Last year we had Reniya Kelly on a podcast when Banghart declined again.
  
  
• Over the years, we've reached out to several assistants to build relationships, it never gets any further. I had a great relationship with the wonderful Tracey Williams-Johnson in the past.
  
  
• On a positive note, we do have a good women's recruiting article coming out soon so that's something to look forward to!
  
  
• For post-games, @TommyAshley, who runs IC podcasts, doesn't feel like he has enough knowledge to do a post-game right. And that's completely fair - the man already has three sports in his head! I spoke to him about this post and he reiterated wanting Banghart to come on.
  
  
• We've been talking to Talia Goodman some - she covers women's recruiting for On3. We even had a video call with her and several of us a few months ago. Just to get more on what she's doing in recruiting, how we can help her and how she can help us.

If you continue to cover the Post Game pressers that gives us a lot of inside information.

This season is going to have some bumps. Give Coach CB whatever space she needs.

We have some growing to do as a team but if healthy we will get there.

Personally, I have mixed feelings about the quality Carmichael Radio, but it is the only independent UNC WBB podcast I know of. The people on it obviously love UNC WBB and put real effort into the show.

Finally, does Matt Krause still emcee's the Holding Court with Courtney Banghart Radio Show?

Carmichael Radio is definitely worth a listen. There is also HeelzInThePaint on YouTube, but it’s considerably less substantive. They did have an interview with Noelle Bofia this week.

Yes, Matt still hosts. And, I’ll give a shoutout to R.L. Bynum/tarheeltribune.com; he’s almost always at the radio show tapings and does a write up. And, if you can get to the shows, there’s usually a 15-20 minute Q&A after the taping that is always interesting.

Agree. Disappointed in the decision to turn down requests, but I believe you hit the nail on the head for the reason why. A lot of that was self-inflicted, but I don't see an issue with a monthly show-- particular if questions are scripted and IC certainly wouldn't air any controversial stuff like happened before. IMO it is a missed opportunity to continue to grow the fanbase. CB is an excellent speaker- and why not simply do one quarterly? It would without a doubt bring new fans -- as she embodies what it means to be a part of the Carolina Family.

Wish Coach Banghart would do a weekly show - just another way to promote the team. UNCWBB/she does a great job with social so it seems odd that she wouldn't want to do a pod or a weekly show.
