17-14 on the Plains currently. Advance metrics had these two closely matched teams.

Auburn was a trendy pick all week in the betting markets.

Possibly, but Bo Nix’s home / road splits are crazy. He’s #4 out of 13 in passer rating at home this year. He’s #13 out 13 on the road.

Auburn might be the most bipolar team in the country this year. They could beat us by 30 next week or lose outright. They already lost to Will Muschamp this year.

Tough sequence there for Auburn. A&M converts 3rd and long without a review on a close catch. Next play, Auburn has an easy pick hit a DB in the hands, bounces right to a A&M WR for a TD.

Yep.

No matter how this game turns out, I think we have a legit shot next weekend. Nix/Auburn are different away from home, and on paper we should be a tricky matchup for them.

Keep an eye on the Mizzou/Arkansas game too.

Mizzou is pretty balanced and efficient offensively, but they are not really explosive. They don’t appear capable of doing to us what Daniels and Corral did down the field.

And defensively, they have let KJ Jefferson move the ball at will today.

Mizzou is very beatable. They're not a bad team but they've racked up some wins against bad teams. Not impressed by what they've done against an Arkansas team that is playing their backup QB today.

Refs in this game are having a rough day. They called a bogus targeting on Mizzou earlier, then called a phantom unsportsmanlike conduct on Arkansas now.

ETA: But yeah, each of these last two games are basically toss ups IMO.

I think there’s a chance we’re favored against Missouri. I expect it to be close either way.

Aggies beat us by 14. They beat Auburn by 11. I'm sure they were rusty coming in here and we are a better team now than when we played A&M plus Nix sucks on the road. At the very least it should be a good game. If Will makes the same improvement as he did between first start and second start we should win. And hopefully we will get a couple of defenders back in action

I'm of the opinion that Gus is now coaching for his job at Davis Wade next Saturday.

Really wish we could get another shot at Arkansas and UK. We out gained both teams by a lot but turned it over 10 times, and 12 if you count turnovers on downs in the red zone. Also threw two pick sixes.

I think we win both if we play them now that Rogers is the established starter.

Gus is gone if we beat them. It's not a far stretch that would could. Be funny as hell if the war tigers swooped in and plucked the Lane train from OM. I say FSU is his more likely next stop. But I could definitely see him at auburn. Auburn would have stolen that bride twice.

I agree. And watching this Missouri team they look like they may be a handful to stop

Definitely looked good in the second half today, but they’ve been hot and cold all year. Mizzou has been great offensively in three games this year- LSU, Vandy, and Arkansas. All bad defenses and all at home. Every other game, they have put up 20 or less. Plus their defense was putrid against a backup QB.

I’m interested to see what they look like against UGA next week. Certainly I’m not chalking the Mizzou game up as a W right now, but their offense hasn’t been nearly as prolific when they go on the road against competent defenses.

We are the #1 team in the nation all time for getting coaches fired. Rich Rod, Mike Shula, Ron Zook. I think there were more.
