You want it to happen now so they can be replaced in Dec signing period. There is a WR in MN that is a teammate of our of our key LB targets that would be worth an offer.
Yep. Good memory.Remember when everyone was excited when landing Miles Jones? Pepperidge farm remembers.
Time for us to fish in the portal. I know there is some good talent in there does anyone have a link for those who are currently available?
Come on. The kid left because he wasn't getting to play and wants that opportunity, doesn't have to be some grand conspiracy. If it turns into a mass exodus there is no one to blame but Frost and his coddling of the players he thinks are star players.

“If” only 1 or 2 enter the transfer portal, the star players must not have been coddled enough."If"
It was basically thrown together in a couple weeks, but yes, it is a mess. Couple that with the 2017 class, which is now a complete disaster and it's not pretty.
that class is eroding rapidly
Frost was named head coach of Nebraska on Dec 2nd. That gave him two full months to recruit. That is quite a bit longer than a couple weeks! It was basically thrown together in a couple weeks, but yes, it is a mess. Thats a major concern. 2017 is already all but gone now 2018 too?

Speaking of the 2017 class. This was posted on another board:Thats a major concern. 2017 is already all but gone now 2018 too?
While this is terrible, the one unit we can not afford attrition with seems to be hanging in there. If we start losing linemen then our path to success may start to seem impossible for the near future.Speaking of the 2017 class. This was posted on another board:
Forget about 4 stars for a second, and just count players from the 2017 class who even made a dent...

Disagree, I don't think you want this crap happening during the season and being a distraction on the team. It's best if attrition happens in the offseason. You want it to happen now so they can be replaced in Dec signing period. Makes it hard to care when the team is terrible and recruits constantly underperform while they're here.Yep. Good memory.
Should we not be excited when recruits choose Nebraska anymore?
The problem is I don't think these are the type of players we want to leave early. Miles Jones was a really talented recruit and has only been here a couple years. If if was some guy who's been here for 3 or 4 years and hasn't accomplished anything, then it would be a different story.Been saying all along get ready for them to take another class of around 25 guys

Not saying this was right or wrong but he also coached UCF in their bowl game. So that cut into a little time I’m sure.Frost was named head coach of Nebraska on Dec 2nd. That gave him two full months to recruit. That is quite a bit longer than a couple weeks!
We had some highly touted commits and recruiting targets from Riley that were interested in Nebraska and Frost didn't even try to go after them. He obviously thought his recruits would be better. Also Frost knew there was a high possibility he wouldn't be coaching at UCF and would be moving up to a P5 school. You don't think he was able to identify and build relationships with those recruits before he even got here? You are clueless. 80% of all college football recruits were already committed and ready to sign by the time Frost was hired at Nebraska. He literally had to flip a QB at the last second. Thank god TN was going through a change too.
It's IMPOSSIBLE to put together a recruiting class for any school that makes a head coaching change. The kids are already committed to schools and ready to sign.
Filler classes are NOT expected to make any difference in coaching changes anymore.
Sure they do. And it's not necessarily good for those programs either. They also have coaching staffs that are experienced enough to handle attrition mid-season. The jury's still out on if we have that. There's also teams that have little or no attrition and drama during the season and those type of teams tend to outperform their talent level compared to teams that are constantly in turmoil.BS. Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State and many other schools have players leave during the season.
